@bangingbins My mum's local co op used to be owned by a cat too😂 It would sit inside the doorway or just lie out on the pavement blocking the entrance, with everyone carefully stepping over it! There was always a little metal bowl of cat food near the door. Aw, I had forgotten all about that.

bangingbins · 11/09/2021 23:03

You see @NotAnotherPylon you would get that's with the Asda, tezzas or sainos! Coop has all the right ethics Smile

bangingbins · 11/09/2021 23:24

Now I'm the tiddly one. I meant you would not get that with the other supermarkets

@LipstickLou

We have had no access to the Co Op for the last 6 months. I miss the lasagne, paella, cheese twists and decent wine. Our Tesco wine is crap (Waico Bay? Blended shite) and the Waitrose busy with out of towners. I drive 10 miles for the Co Op and Marks.
Whaaaat?😨 Thats my favourite wine? What do you mean'blended'??

Burger Slaw. That is all

SusannaM · 12/09/2021 10:42

Onion bhaji sandwiches.

Macaroni one rocks ☺️

OnceUponAMidnightBeery · 12/09/2021 18:17

This vintage macaroni cheese of which you speak, is it really, really cheesy??

I love Mac cheese, but have never found a ready meal one tasty and cheesy enough without adding half a block of extra mature cheddar Blush

Agree with the olive bread, it’s lush. Found a four cheese one recently and that’s lovely too. I don’t finish work till 7, times it pretty good for the bargains Grin

Loving the pizza recommendations, I generally stick to Aldi’s Carlos pizzas, as you don’t need to add extra sauce or cheese and they’re really good. Purple boxes you say? Wink

@mumofthreesmallmen3 I too have a great need to declare drunken food love at strange hours. Luckily I usually can’t operate my phone at that point Blush

Hope the head wasn’t too bad!

@liveforsummer

Am going to see if my local one has those Portuguese egg tarts mentioned! I usually try to avoid the pudding fridge as there's always something yummy and calorific on offer, and I need to lose some covid chubbiness. But a little tart wouldn't be much would it?

If not, Lidl ones are also divine

Off topic but Ocado do amazing Portuguese custard tarts that come frozen and you finish off in the oven so they come out perfectly. (And in theory you can cook them individually or just the whole pack and scoff them all)

Unbelievably good

Agree the jalapeño and cheddar bread is the best - I can eat the whole thing in one sitting easily !
