@Littleelffriend

We only have coop where I live. 4 of the fuckers
Me too! 👋🏼 I'm off down for a couple of curries later today.
OhWhyNot · 11/09/2021 10:46

So I put in an order for Deliveroo coop delivery (often do)

Got very excited as they had the olive bread and sour dough so put in a order

Received email no olive or sough dough bread available 😭

Shall have to go searching I can think of four I can get to this afternoon one of them must have it

EvilEdna1 · 11/09/2021 10:58

I proposed marriage when drunk (and was then sick) and didn't remember doing it the next day. We have been married 21 years so it worked out I suppose.

MinnieJackson · 11/09/2021 11:01

The bakery sausage rolls are immense! And the sour dough and olive breads. They do these nice extra special or whatever it's called dark chocolate and ginger cookies, so good! ooh and the American deli sandwich. We only have co-op and I think I've been under-appreciating its delicacies!

BarbaraofSeville · 11/09/2021 11:10

@RAFHercules

Our local coop reduces those pizzas in the evenings to around 50p, it's compensation for all the times their delivery drivers have woken me up, reversing at 5am.
No success for me on the pizzas, but our co-op often has the olive bread that's so popular, plus the cheesy chilli one, reduced to about 35 p. We get a couple a month at that price.
dancingthroughthedark · 11/09/2021 11:35

I ate a lot of ready meals while recovering from a broken ankle. Tried pretty much every brand going. Co Op were definitely the best

opinionminion · 11/09/2021 11:40

mumofthreesmallmen3 · 11/09/2021 12:56

TheQueef · 11/09/2021 13:14

You've done a service to the co-op, I intend to try this fabled fish pie on the back of this thread.
True love flows deep when I'm pissed sometimes too Blush

mumofthreesmallmen3 · 11/09/2021 13:28

My dd1 works PT in the Coop so I get 10% discount - are you jealous OP? Grin

BippityBoppity87 · 11/09/2021 14:07

The macaroni cheese is really nice and their tagliatelle. Also sometimes get the chicken korma ready meal, which isn't bad either and a decent sized portion

I get a discount too! Usually pretty decent with a discount, especially if you have a voucher. Win win. I remember when they used to do it with alcohol as well, but I think the licensing changed which was a bugger
OhWhyNot · 11/09/2021 14:15

Have tried three coops and no olive bread 😭 (shall try not to resent those that have been lucky enough to to get it)

But did pick up some nice soft roles to have with the delicious Irresistible Red Leicester and Jalapeño Sausages they are really good

That’s tea sorted out

liveforsummer · 11/09/2021 14:15

Their £5 meal deal is great for when you fancy a beige food binge with dessert

Shallwegoforawalk · 11/09/2021 14:32

I like their beef pappardelle meal and the salmon linguine one, both in the posh range. We also eat a lot of their own range sourdough bread, it's good. And their bananas and berries are much better than my local Tesco.

Am going to see if my local one has those Portuguese egg tarts mentioned! I usually try to avoid the pudding fridge as there's always something yummy and calorific on offer, and I need to lose some covid chubbiness. But a little tart wouldn't be much would it? Grin

If not, Lidl ones are also divine

TowandaForever · 11/09/2021 14:34

@curiouscatgotkilled

I get them when they are in the bargain bin and stash them in the freezer for days I can't be bothered to cook. My children absolutely love them! They like the spaghetti, lasagne and cottage pie. Coop wines are also very good, I love the coop a lot!
Ohhhh how much do they get reduced to?
TowandaForever · 11/09/2021 14:39

@Horseradishsauce

If I time it right I can go in and get it reduced. Too early, not reduced enough, too late, all gone. The lovely man who works there told me the times they do the reductions and I've had some right bargains now I have insider knowledge.

The vintage cheddar Mac n cheese is my fave

Share the times?! Please?!

They are with the baked goods (near loose crossiant/danish) so you can avoid the pudding fridge but still get a treat
BlackAlys · 11/09/2021 15:16

@mumofthreesmallmen3

Really embarrassed,did eat 2 in a row though and clearly wanted to discuss it...
🤣 I like you OP.

Weird question, but why did you use that spelling for the fish dip?[/quote]
I typed in 'tar' and my autocorrect did the rest! Is it a weird spelling?

CeeJay81 · 11/09/2021 15:46

@ghostyslovesheets It's 20% discount on coop own brand, def worth having!
