To think Boris Johnson should have to answer questions about the £350 million

Basically he lied in order to get Brexit, saying we'd have £350 million A WEEK from Brexit for the NHS Angry When we are all getting tax rises instead.
Why is he just being allowed to get away with this lie, without even having to make an apology.

Because the general public love him.

Ostryga · 07/09/2021 17:17

Because people are stupid enough to believe rich white men have their best interests at heart.

When has Boris ever taken responsibility for anything? He’s a cunt, I’m not sure why anyone is surprised.

BananaPB · 07/09/2021 17:17

You know he'll blame the pandemic.

Plus why would he admit to wrongdoing when he's a massive liar with no chance of losing if a general election was called tomorrow?

Poetrypatty · 07/09/2021 17:31

Lord knows why people like him but I get that they do. But still, he told people this, stood next to the bus, and they voted in good faith. Why aren't Brexit voters up in arms about this?!

Brexit voters aren't up in arms about this because immigration. That's what it was really all about.
Ostryga · 07/09/2021 17:35

Brexit voters aren’t up in arms because they’ve got their heads stuck in the sand.

Food shortages, queues in Heathrow, can’t find workers for minimum wage jobs, NHS failing are all because of covid apparently.

CoRhona · 07/09/2021 17:36

Use your vote wisely.

flashbac · 07/09/2021 17:40

Brexit voters will never admit how much they've fucked up the country. I'm so angry.

People like Farage can afford private care because they are all about enabling rich friends get richer.

Notonthestairs · 07/09/2021 17:46

Earlier this year my pro-Brexit family members agreed that they knew they were being "misled" about the £350 million a week but liked it anyway.

Which seems a bit contrary to me.

We tend to avoid any discussion of the B word.

Islamorada · 07/09/2021 17:48

And taking back control of the borders 🤣🤣🤣 b

Simonjt · 07/09/2021 17:48

I don’t think he is capable of telling the truth

Islamorada · 07/09/2021 17:49

I m not voting in the next elections. There are not options.

You are making it worse by not voting. There's always an alternative and ANYTHING is better than this.

Some bloke brought a private prosecution over this but it was turned down in 2019. The slogan is actually quite carefully worded and it really seems a bit silly and naive to imagine it could be relied upon as a promise (which it strictly wasn't) Boris is a lying cunt though so anyone who takes anything he says seriously is a fool.
Batshittery · 07/09/2021 17:55

His 'fans' don't care that he lied about Brexit. They don't seem to care about any of the many lies he's told since then, or the fact that he's a cheating, lying, smirking, racist. Covid was his saviour

DynamoKev · 07/09/2021 17:58

By the way in other news, Tories called employer NI increases of the kind they announced today "A tax on jobs" when Gordon Brown did it.

LizzieMacQueen · 07/09/2021 18:00

The immigration 'crisis' appears worse recently. If what we're talking about is the poor unfortunate fools who attempt to land illegally.

Unhomme · 07/09/2021 18:16

You know covid has cost more than £350m a week to the NHS don't you? Strictly speaking, it has had all that money and more.

In reality the increased funding a nonce for the NHS is 6bn pa, which is about 120m a week

Unhomme · 07/09/2021 18:17

Not a nonce!

Announced

MrsTerryPratchett · 07/09/2021 18:23

That was quite the typo!
PickUpAPepper · 07/09/2021 18:28

Anyone with any intelligence knew damn well he was lying!

Bonkers Grin I think no discussion is sensible in the circumstances

And yet people would be up in arms if this was said. But also nobody is mentioning about the bus. I do really wonder, when history judges all of this, whether people will be gobsmacked that it's no longer mentioned.

I thinks that's what people said about Trump - jury is still out for me on that one.
