What phrases/come backs/irritating things do people say on MN?

Oh I named changed for this thread so no one can look up mine .

Things I find irritating are:

'thrown under the bus' I mean what idiot started that saying off

'cock fucker' 'fuckery' not sure why but I hate it

“Did you mean to be so rude?” Er, yes.
“No is a complete sentence.” In real life it really isn’t.

“Be kind” pisses me off because it’s usually used to try and shut down a discussion. Often posters aren’t even being unkind, just not agreeing with whoever is saying to be kind.

Some feel the need to use 'fuck' or cunt or something similar as if it adds to their rage.

Another odd one that makes no sense but some posters just love it for reasons known to themselves. Perhaps they might care to say why they love it?

On every thread about size or weight at least 8 people will say 'we've lost sight of what a healthy weight is'. No one ever seems to lose sight of anything else, just weight stuff.

They must have a spreadsheet of stock phrases for each subject.

I don't like the cutesy curses, like cockwomble and twunt. There are perfectly good profanities to be used, there's no need to dilute them for lady ears.

Yeah I can't bear the overwhelming twee of cockwomble and wankbadger and all that nonsense.

Anything where someone has replace a letter in a swear word with an asterisk, eg f*ck. Just choose a different word or type it properly.

This drives me nuts too. Most weight threads are full of nonsense and disordered eating, either one lettuce leaf a day or five pizzas for dinner being ok.
