DD made muffins in Home Ec, and they have CINNAMON in them.

How far is too far to react? On a scale of 1 to 10 where 1 is get DD to make some better muffins and 10 is burning down the school.

They also have raisins in them, adding insult to injury IMO.

Cinnamon is amazing but raisins are evil so you're half unreasonable and half reasonable.

Buttons294749 · 06/09/2021 16:48

Yanbu report to Ofsted!!!

WhatATimeToBeAlive · 06/09/2021 16:49

What's wrong with cinammon? I love the stuff.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 06/09/2021 16:50

Send them here cinnamon and raisin are a lovely combination 😋

Brollypackedforscottishholiday · 06/09/2021 16:50

At least she actually made something

At dd's school they get handed out sandwich bags of pre weighed ingredients...
Then mix together and shove in the oven..

Burnt0utMum · 06/09/2021 16:51

Sounds lovely!

RandomMess · 06/09/2021 16:51

🤮

Burn the school down!

SylvanasWindrunner · 06/09/2021 16:51

Cinnamon good, raisins bad.

KittenKong · 06/09/2021 16:51

Cinnamon is ok but there is just no need for raisins. Ever.

bilbodog · 06/09/2021 16:51

Ill have them - yum!

TeenMinusTests · 06/09/2021 16:53

Did he have a choice?

It took me a long time to realise that school kept letting the DCs choose their own flavourings etc. Hence why we ended up with (incredibly dry) banana crumble one week.

By the time DD2 started I had learned to check which ingredients were essential and which she had selected (though she had more 'feeling' for it than DD1 did anyway.)

MazyontheDipper · 06/09/2021 16:53

Raisins are Satan's clinkers. vile things.

LittleGwyneth · 06/09/2021 16:54

Raisins are a travesty. Move schools. Go private if necessary.

Backtobacktheyfacedeachother · 06/09/2021 16:55

Cinnamon and raisin -YUM!

Deadringer · 06/09/2021 16:55

That is outrageous, i will dispose of safely them for you.

LegendaryReady · 06/09/2021 16:56

DS1 had his one and only full blown tantrum after ordering apple crumble in a restaurant and finding it had cinnamon in it.

We also had to change the cleaning company we used as they insisted on using cinnamon scented products.

He was properly traumatised by it when he was little, but now can tolerate (his words) small amounts.

He'd definitely be with you.

pointythings · 06/09/2021 16:56

Surely you can put anything in a muffin? I have made apple ones (which had cinnamon in) but also cheese and bacon ones. All good.

Deadringer · 06/09/2021 16:57

Or rather, i will dispose of them safely for you. I think Yoda wrote the above.

Mindymomo · 06/09/2021 16:57

You are lucky, my DS made soup and dropped it. The teacher actually phoned me to warn me how annoyed and angry my son was. She was right, he was fuming when he got home, blamed the flask I gave him to bring it home. After that we did dummy cooking lessons at home, as we had the ingredients anyway. It did improve his confidence but he’s always been clumsy, he’s 29 now and doesn’t do a lot in the kitchen.

mocktail · 06/09/2021 16:58

Cinnamon and raisin, yum. Would be even better with some chopped apple too.

bamboocat · 06/09/2021 16:58

NOOOOOOO!!!! Cinnamon is the very dandruff of the devil.

They also have apple and carrot, but I didn't think to mention it because of the cinnamon and raisin related red mist in front of my eyes. Grin
