DD made muffins in Home Ec, and they have CINNAMON in them.

How far is too far to react? On a scale of 1 to 10 where 1 is get DD to make some better muffins and 10 is burning down the school.

They also have raisins in them, adding insult to injury IMO.

I love cinnamon so I was fine. But once you mentioned the raisins.. I would call the police honestly. This is why society is going down.

I can think of better things to add to muffin mix.

Blueberries. Choc chips.

Optimal deliciousness for muffins does not include raisins in my book.

I love cinnamon, on my porridge,in my coffee,cinnamon bread , cinnamon tea, cinnamon ice cream , cinnamon biscuits and the absolute best cinnamon liquer. I have a collection of different types of cinnamon and love ceylon the best. My husband hates it- I will help you dispose of the muffins safely. Did you know too much cassius cinnamon can cause liver problems( more than 2 teaspoons)but Ceylon, which is milder does not. Cinnamon is supposed to be good for diabetics and for preventing alzheimers.

Raisins are the devil. Shrivelled, dead grapes. In saying that I'd probably pick out the worst of it and eat them because I do love carrot cake and cinnamon is the bomb

Fairy cakes are smaller and have more sugar in. But loads of people love sugar and many things that pass as muffins are actually just big fairy cakes with shed loads of icing.

Least they actually made it home! DD seems to think that eating all the food they make at school, on the bus home is perfectly acceptable . After she scoffed 8 cherry rock cakes - I made her make a second batch when she got home.

I'm with you on the cinnamon though - brings back memories of my parents burning fruit toast they had for breakfast - burnt cinnamon is even worse!

YABU for not sending each of us a sample to test.

Cinnamon, muffins and raisins are all good. Any two of them, also good. But all three together? Just wrong.

It all turned out well in the end. I wouldn't eat any because of the cinnamon, DD and DS wouldn't eat them because of the raisins and DH had one but doesn't eat much sweet stuff. DS had a few friends call over and they apparently have no sense of taste because they polished off all but one of the muffins.

Aw no! I loved making fairy cakes when I was teeny tiny. I was so small I couldn’t reach the kitchen table.

Cinnamon and raisins! Horrific, just utterly horrific. No cake should ever be spoilt with dried fruit. And cinnamon is just awful.

Best muffins have cinnamon on top before baking. They are called magdalenas in Spain and they are scrumptious.
