DD made muffins in Home Ec, and they have CINNAMON in them.

How far is too far to react? On a scale of 1 to 10 where 1 is get DD to make some better muffins and 10 is burning down the school.

They also have raisins in them, adding insult to injury IMO.

I used to make blueberry, oat and yoghurt muffins, you sprinkle in bicarb of soda and the mixture goes all frothy. Now they were muffins worth eating.

Obviously, you've not been introduced to the magic of coffee cake, OP. As an American, cinnamon-raisin muffins (with apple and carrot to boot!) get my vote. Everyone should try American-style coffee cake... none of this walnut sponge that you lot call 'coffee cake'. American coffee cake is the absolute bomb.

The last time I tried American coffee cake it was so sweet I think I felt my teeth crack.

I'll stick with devil bogey raisin cake!

I'd make an anonymous report to OFSTED over those raisins alone. Cinnamon is fine though. Cinnamon, apple and brown sugar muffins could be pretty good. Very American.
