Just reading about the most memorable AIBU’s led me on to the best names.

My vote is for Pyonyangkipperbang.

Simply brilliant!
@DobbyTheHouseElk yes I remember that username.

They did make me laugh at times, I remember a thread they started something like "my fanjo is on fire"...First line was I have NC'd for this of course to save embarrassment, only to realise after posting the NC had failed!
Ah me. MN "back then" was the first time I heard the word "Fanjo". There was a poster called FanjoForTheMammaries, which used to make me laugh (the name, that is).

I don't really recall women talking quite so openly and swearingly before MN came along. I think the fact that it's online and essentially anonymous meant that women could talk about their cunting bunting and their fanjos and norks without anyone raising an eyebrow apart from me, a naice girl who was shocked by the swearing

IDidntFloatUpTheLaganInABubble · 05/09/2021 10:39

It was all fanjos, norks, judgey pants, pearl clutching and swearing wasn't it!

As a new mum I was so happy to find it, it seemed like a community as Buppers, Getorf, Mrs MrsDevere ect were such prominent posters.

Yup, it was. I once started a fred disapproving of all the fucking swearing on the site. I got very short shrift. I think the good thing about MN then was that it was very small, so only a few people were posting. However, that was also its disadvantage - if you weren't in the quiche, you were the sad girl who nobody liked at school.
EIIa · 05/09/2021 22:05

@MrsDeVere - where has she gone?!
@MarmaladeTwatkins
@Anyfucker and worraliberty always seemed similar to me as well

Like @LeQueen and @Crumbs 😂

And does anybody remember @PrettyEnglishArriviste ? I loved that name, reminded me of the cazalets for some reason

HonoreDeBallsache · 05/09/2021 22:38

Ella, you have reminded me of Bonsoir, aka BonsoirAnna.

I was too much of a pearl-clutcher to find MarmaladeTwatkins funny then, but I think it's very funny now. I was evidently more grown up when I was 29 than I am now.

@CleverPolly3 (I loved those stories, so love your name, too!), yes, I am the same person, pissing around for no good reason whatsoever. Grin

HonoreDeBallsache · 07/09/2021 21:23

I also suspect - though may be wrong - that the poster called something like LipstickHeelsCoffee or LipstickHeelsHandbag or some such is also iCod or ScottishMummy. I'll probably get deleted for saying that, though.

ShinyMe · 07/09/2021 21:25

I never ever notice usernames.

Oh wait, there's one about Anne and Gilbert, I notice that one because AWWW Anne and Gilbert. But I don't know what the actual username is, so I've only half noticed.
