You guys need to stop filling the thread when nothing is happening!!

In the meantime I had the most amazing nights sleep last night. Absolutely full of food and had an amazing day and frankly this morning I couldn't care if he's there for 6 months Grin

OP posts:
Sunbird24 · 02/08/2021 09:41

OP did call the police, they’re not interested as trespass is a civil matter

I live in a rural location and kind of a tourist walkers hotspot. When CFers Park on what is obviously my private property we put really hard to remove stickers on their windscreen. Might be an idea @BlueEyesWhiteDragon Wink .

Kinneddar · 02/08/2021 09:50

At some point it must be considered abandoned, surely

As its been said before its on private land so there's nothing the police can do

Yesitsbess · 02/08/2021 09:51

Stickers and glitter in the air vents.

LadyPeppermint · 02/08/2021 09:51

Instead of posting on FB “all sorted now, thanks!” (past tense), why not post “great news - the owner has been located and is on his way to collect it now. Thanks for your help!”

Surely that would put a rocket up his arse?

CrotchetyQuaver · 02/08/2021 09:53

Good morning!

What have the forestry commission said about it blocking their track? If they take it/tow it/move it, don't update Facebook, let him have a little surprise waiting for him when he does finally turn up.

Coffeepot72 · 02/08/2021 09:53

I agree with a previous poster who suggests the OP should not make any further comments on FB. Silence is a very powerful weapon and the CF won't know what is happening.

MaMelon · 02/08/2021 09:56

If the police can’t do anything then at what point is the OP able to? Or it is FC land and therefore their responsibility? I can’t recall from the first thread.
Lulola · 02/08/2021 09:56

I wonder if he’s seen the truck and is moaning about the shit parking stopping him getting his car out.

Twoforthree · 02/08/2021 09:56

Well he’s got some neck - I’ll give him that.

harriethoyle · 02/08/2021 09:59

@BlueEyesWhiteDragon

DB has text a mate asking them to post on FB "Thats my truck. Will drop you a message now"

He has then instructed me to give it an hour and post
"Sorted now"

I love your DB Grin
Disfordarkchocolate · 02/08/2021 10:02

I like the cut of your brother's jib.

Window1 · 02/08/2021 10:07

Cannot believe we are all still here.

Chemenger · 02/08/2021 10:08

@CastleCrasher

Surely the police would be interested now that it's been there for three days? Not so much the obstruction but at least enough to make contact and check that the reason he's not collected his car is not because he's dead in a ditch?
A Range Rover has been parked on the road into our local golf club for months, the police are not interested at all. It’s not causing an obstruction though. There seems to be nothing the golf club can do.
MsHedgehog · 02/08/2021 10:15

I think he’s seen this thread, and is therefore playing you at your game...seeing how long he can keep it there to annoy you!

AintNobodyHereButUsChickens · 02/08/2021 10:17

How have I only just discovered these threads?! Shock

Yesitsbess · 02/08/2021 10:17

@Chemenger

Forward your golf club this perhaps:

www.gov.uk/guidance/abandoned-vehicles-council-responsibilities

Councils do have to remove vehicles even on private land if they are "in the open air".

And yes I am way too invested in this subject since these threads started, thankyou for asking Grin

HoppingPavlova · 02/08/2021 10:17

I agree, he’s obviously aware it’s bigger news given the FB stuff etc and I’d say he’s now being an even bigger dick thinking he can wait you out and ‘win’.

ScrambledSmegs · 02/08/2021 10:18

It's the council's responsibility to remove abandoned vehicles, not the police.

www.gov.uk/guidance/abandoned-vehicles-council-responsibilities

Duty to remove abandoned vehicles
Councils and national park authorities (authorities) must remove abandoned vehicles from:

land in the open air (including private land)
roads (including private roads)
When removing a vehicle from land in the open air, authorities:

cannot charge the landowner occupier
must give the landowner or occupier 15 days’ notice that they propose to remove the vehicle
cannot remove the vehicle if the landowner or occupier objects during the notice period^^

Ninkanink · 02/08/2021 10:22

I really hope the track needs using soon...

If it does, please don’t tell us here until after the fact!

Staffholidayclubrep · 02/08/2021 10:25

Hope there is a hefty charge for opening the gate seeing as you have looked after the tosser's vehicle since Saturday.

If he is reading this thread I bet he has a very small teeny tiny willy.

Theunamedcat · 02/08/2021 10:29

Have you got a picture of the space with no car in it? Post that with the all sorted message so he can see his car is "gone"

cazisalittlenuts · 02/08/2021 10:30

Just parking here to wait and see. Was looking for this thread at 5am this morning desperate for an update!
