I just thought I'd share this for anyone struggling with the hot weather or menopausal hot flushes! 🥵

DH said a guy at work was using one so he bought one for me and it's amazing

I've been wearing it since it arrived this morning and despite looking like a DJ who's forgotten where her ears are, it's made an amazing difference and kept me cool all day.

Anyone else tried them? They're a bit noisy at first but my brain has kind of filtered the noise out in favour of the constant cool air.

I've ordered this one too now as it's reduced so much in price (had gone down to £12.81 when I ordered yesterday). I'm going to try it out for when I'm putting make up on. Was out on Saturday and my make up had pretty much sweated off by the time I'd got out!

Thats a good idea to wear it backwards, i find the back of my neck and head gets really hot, even with my hair tied back

Mine arrived this morning. Amazon gave me a week's Prime for 99p, which was cheaper than the postage - if I remember to cancel it.

I got these. I came in melting from the shops, it cooled me beautifully in about 30 minutes and I've wearing them for about two hours now. The top speed is a little more than I, or my hair, need, but a medium speed is lovely. Charge has gone down by one light out of four.

One problem: how do you persuade yourself to take them off?

I've never tried the personal fans, but I was intrigued by podcast adverts for some new gadget called "Embr Wave". You wear it on your wrist like a watch and it supposedly helps you feel warmer or cooler, depending on the setting. They're too expensive to tempt me at the moment, though!

My current cool-down cheat is to take a small (palm-size) gel freezer pack, the type used for minor injuries, and pop it down the front of my bra. It only works at home, but it's highly effective! If I'm truly melting, I'll hold it against the back of my neck, my face, or my wrists, but I like the hands-free aspect of the bra.

Just got one for my Mum she be made up!

This thread is really making me want to find my chillow. I actually had an unopened proper branded one and I really do think I might have put it in a charity bag. Really didn't think that through.

Its loudest on setting 3, but to be honest it's not unbearably loud (but then I have been wearing a headset)
