Portable neck fans. How did I not know these exist?!?!

I just thought I'd share this for anyone struggling with the hot weather or menopausal hot flushes! 🥵

DH said a guy at work was using one so he bought one for me and it's amazing

I've been wearing it since it arrived this morning and despite looking like a DJ who's forgotten where her ears are, it's made an amazing difference and kept me cool all day.

Anyone else tried them? They're a bit noisy at first but my brain has kind of filtered the noise out in favour of the constant cool air.

I saw them in News other day as someone was doing test with dummy & slow camera for covid droplets in spaces and he talked about fans could help patients in hospital as keep droplets away from face.

Totally misread the title and thought it was about someone who was a fan of portable necks. And I wondered what a portable neck was.

@DialSquare I had a look at those but I was worried my hair might get caught in the blades.

It won't, I have both fans and prefer the one with two circles you can aim at your face. I've tried really hard to catch my hair in them and I wasn't able to manage it if that helps?

You do have to be a bit careful about your hair but as long you keep your hair out off the way, it doesn't get caught up. Mine is quite long so I just keep it over my back.
