DH insisting the oven is a microwave too. Should I LTB or wait and watch?

For context, on holiday in a cottage. First holiday for yonks. Been a long long day and everyone a bit tired so we must be generous here.

DH making a latte. Getting very rattled at the pod machine. I've tried to help but, no, he knows best. Now insisting he can heat the milk in the microwave. There is no microwave. It's an oven and grill. DH has dug his heels in and is insisting it is a microwave and is now trying to put a mug of milk in it to heat. He won't be told different.

I'm now sitting watching this unfold.

Any thoughts?

Surely he would be better heating some milk in a saucepan! Best make sure the mug doesn't shatter due to heat, and that he takes it put with oven gloves....after the 20 mins it will take to heat up

The only microwave I know of that looks like a normal oven are compact (45cm high) built-in multi-function ovens. They can be a conventional fan oven, grill and microwave.

Obviously there are also standalone multi-function ovens the do look like microwaves, but I assume this isn't one of them.

Why does he think it's a microwave?

I should be starting dinner but that would involve using the 'cough' microwave

My combination microwave /oven is a microwave, grill, oven, or any two of those at a time. It has metal racks in. It does not have turntable in.

I’m on team DH here.

It does have a metal rack and no spinning disk, judging from the photos. But it's still a microwave.

You can put some types of metal in some types of microwave. We've got a multi-function microwave/grill/oven and it has metal racks.

Oh this is mine. I can confirm it looks so much like a real oven I argued with the installation people about it.
