The Italian Football Captain is a horrible bully.

He should have got a red card for the way he treated Saka pulling his shirt collar and dragging him to the floor.

Also when Italy were against Spain the way he grabbed the Spanish captain persuading him to do penalties on the Italian side.

I can’t stand him. He deserves no praise and his team played dirty!

I agree about asking questions, @melj1213 - I almost never watch football, but this was a special game, so we did watch it. I watch much more rugby, so I know that around-the-neck tackles are considered very dangerous in rugby, and usually result in a red card, because it is a professional foul. I haven't seen a player tackle another one by hauling them backwards by the neck of their shirt in a rugby match, but I assume it would at least be looked at by the ref, and might be deemed a round the neck tackle, because that specific tackle could cause injury to the neck.

This was why I wanted to know what the code is in football for dangerous tackles, and if a tackle that risks injury to the neck (which could be life-altering) is dealt with more seriously than a tackle that involves hauling the player lower down on the shirt - which looks less risky to me.

Does that make any sense?
