If they try it again perhaps mention you will be getting legal advice about their fraudulent attempt to recover vet costs…..

The brazen cheek of them trying to claim costs for a cat that wasn’t even injured in the first place.

If they carry on harassing you, you might want to seek your own legal advice. The video you have will be good evidence that the cat isn’t hurt

I can't imagine a sausage dog managing to seriously injure any cat, they don't have the height to grab by the neck and shake!

Please do not try and cat proof your garden!!

Hopefully you won't hear from them on the matter again. But if he does try to intimidate you when your dh isn't there stand your ground and report him.

The neighbour sounds a right twat. I'm glad the cat is ok but how dare he behave like that towards you? He sounds like a nasty bully with a screw or two loose.

What was the shouting about? Was he having a go at her for letting the cat out and scuppering their chances at defrauding you, do you think?!

I’m glad their cat is ok but my god I’d be furious with them for the attempt to get money out of me.

Maybe point out your dodg is having trauma symptoms from having a dcats bum hole in his face as it disappeared over the fence...
