DH is an extremely well educated man.
Today I watched him put ironing water (our tap water is ridiculously hard) into the fabric softener dispenser.
He loathes the dishwasher for some reason maybe that’s the reason he has been known to put the pod things for dishes in the washing machine.

I once caught an ex vacuuming the dining table, leaving scratches on what was an immaculate surface. Our sons however, both know where the fabric softener goes. Even if they do use more than I would.

An ex of mine used to hoover the cat.

To bring it back on topic: I shall start using vinegar in the wash now that I know which is the fabric softener slot.

@Kazziek It's stocked next to the malt vinegar in most supermarkets - ask a member of staff. Malt vinegar will also work. I've used that when white vinegar has been out of stock.

Or if you know of a zero waste, independent food/cleaning shop in your area, you can take your own container and buy in bulk. I do this.

The cat wasn’t in the dishwasher. The kitchen filled with foam because ex had put Fairy liquid in there. Loads of foam bubbles comes out from goodness knows where, I don’t recommend you try it. Anyway kitchen filled with fairy liquid foamy bubbles, cat came in through the cat flap in the kitchen walked through the bubbles without a care in the world and was absolutely fine

Phew!! Glad to hear that he was safe.
