I mean come on

OP posts:
Monsterjam · 29/06/2021 18:59

Are the two connected? People can see GPS if needed

ZogtheHog · 29/06/2021 19:01

We've seen the GP plenty of times.

SimonJT · 29/06/2021 19:02

Why can’t you see your GP?

Garraty47 · 29/06/2021 19:02

I've seen the GP.

They've had to have negative covid tests, and they're outside.

youngestisapsycho · 29/06/2021 19:02

It’s getting boring now

AllThatFancyPaintsAsFair · 29/06/2021 19:03

What's the connection, has you GP gone to Wembley?

ssd · 29/06/2021 19:03

Yes if needed. After phoning the gp and getting a phone appointment which is usually 'within' a 2-3 hour time frame....not convenient unless you are somewhere you can answer the call and talk in private....

Then you can see the gp if they want to see you face to face

So all that rigmarole to avoid face to face appointments yet thousands of football fans are cheek by jowl today

Its beyond crazy

Freddiefox · 29/06/2021 19:03

Or watch children’s sports day or have a class party

ssd · 29/06/2021 19:04

GPs should be open as normal now

OP posts:
Taliskerskye · 29/06/2021 19:04

I tried to contact my GP too. They said they’re was at the game
So I understand your pain op.

Did your nan get to see her GP ??

PicsInRed · 29/06/2021 19:04

A lot of kids a forbidden to leave the house for 10 days at the mo, then one sees that football fan spectacle on tv and reads news that wealthy men with connected friends senior executives will be exempt from quarantine, and it's like "whatever".

Fuck them.

ZogtheHog · 29/06/2021 19:04

Well GP appointments should always be "if needed".

Our GP does a phone appointment, with a time slot (one hour, or half an hour). It's extremely convenient.

FastFood · 29/06/2021 19:07

Are all the GPs in Wembley now?

starsinyourpies · 29/06/2021 19:08

Saw GP yesterday, no problem.

Its not convenient if you aren't somewhere you can just pick up the phone and talk

Yup - ridiculous.

If I want a GP appointment I either book it online or over the phone, I then turn up for my appointment at the correct time.

Your GP surgery choosing to limit patient access is the responsibility of no one but that surgery. Are there other surgeries in your area?

AllThatFancyPaintsAsFair · 29/06/2021 19:09

The OP probably has a valid point about access to GPs based on other threads I've seen but trying to link it to the Euros is stupid and meaningless

Why not start a thread about the real issue?

bristolone · 29/06/2021 19:10

They aren't even wearing masks. It's a f*cking joke.

So many things we can't do and don't have access to.

Have to wear masks everywhere but at a football game.

ZogtheHog · 29/06/2021 19:11

Well get yourself to a place where you " can just pick up the phone and talk" just like you would have to do if you were going to an actual GP appointment - you would have to get yourself there, have the appointment, and get back again.

MagnoliaBeige · 29/06/2021 19:12

Lots of posters being deliberately obtuse, you know exactly what point the OP is making, it’s well accepted that plenty of GPs are still seeing very few patients in person (mine included).

I get you OP, it sticks in my throat that fans can be packed in to watch a football match when the needs of children are still being shoved down the priority list.

Bigwave · 29/06/2021 19:12

we can see our gp's in person fine.. or extra conveniently now video call with one at pretty much any time i choose.

PTW1234 · 29/06/2021 19:14

I have needed antibiotics prescriptions twice in lockdown, both times I have happily accepted a GP appointment over the phone.

I actually prefer it, my minor ailments that required antibiotics would of usually involve having to take time off work to attend an in person appointment, east of mine time and theirs too.

There are some controlled pilot events to see if we can return to normal. I can’t get too hung up about

cyclingmad · 29/06/2021 19:14

Well blame your GP then. They could see patients if they wanted to plenty of other GPS are.
