Surely you would have cameras in a Government building and surely pointing it at doorways between different areas or departments isn't a bad idea.
It looks like a screenshot of a cctv security camera monitor.

@BiscoffAddict

For a woman who’s husband has just left her, and publicly humiliated her in the process Mrs Hancock doesn’t appear to be all that bothered. Maybe she’s secretly relieved that he’s buggered off? Though I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he doesn’t come him with his tail between his legs sooner rather than later,

Interestingly MH grew up near me and his Dad left his mum for another woman, who he married, when MH was very young. This is probably normal for him!

Agreed. I was also impressed with Mrs Hancock's impeccably coloured and blow dried hair just as the news broke, did she have a mobile hairdresser visit before the news broke? Can't blame her for wanting to look her best when the inevitable media storm hit.

I can't help but think that the whole thing seems orchestrated. It's the timing of the story, right at the tail end of a successful vaccine programme and also the story or how the video was captured. As I said in thread # 2 , Gina doesn't seem to relax into his passionate cuddle but back off. Grin

@PicsInRed

It's just occurred to me - did Hancock have both a financial and personal interest to extend lockdown and then restrictions? I wonder what Whitty and Valance have to say, did they agree with him, or did they have concerns?

It's extremely stark that Hancock's mates were getting rich off covid and he was getting his end away and this set Hancock up for doantions to campaigns and then mate's jobs when he eventually left politics (see: David Cameron).

Did Hancock extend restrictions unnecessarily? That's a question which should be asked.

That was reported last week He allegedly sat on the less alarming data, which I think suggested the vaccine was more effective against theDelta variant

There are lots of politicians and cronies who will profit from continued restrictions

the80sweregreat · 27/06/2021 11:53

He'll be looking at buying open topped sports cars next.
Mrs Hancock was all prepared for the media scrum. Can you imagine the daily Mail comments etc if she had looked a bit of a mess ? She knows how this all works.

Blossomtoes · 27/06/2021 11:55

@thenewduchessofhastings

If you strip it back to it's bare bones we've got another middle aged selfish male having a mid life crisis having a very cliche affair with a work colleague leaving the wife who's supported her husband building his very important career and has been doing the grunt work such as running the home/being the default parent whilst said husband is off building his very important career and her reward for her hard work is to become a divorced single mother.

How many times do we see this happen?

It’s considerably more than that. If that was all it was nobody would turn a hair because, as you say, it’s so commonplace. There’s corruption, lies and misappropriation of public money all over this. Hancock’s a dishonest little shit.
bollihigh · 27/06/2021 11:58

If they are serious then Oliver Tress's net worth is over £10million - for a quickie divorce the OW would I have thought be good for a couple of million at least. MH won't walk away with nothing either , we needn't worry they will be begging on the street. On the surface though she appears mad but who am I to judge.

Abbott may well have enjoyed tweeting that, but scrutiny of Gove's behaviour is definitely in the public interest right now.

It wasn't a tweet about some random Tory with his pants down, but about the man whom many believe is plotting to replace Johnson – and who is therefore behind this whole Hancock leak plus some of the media storm (while Johnson just gets a ruffle of the hair for his infidelities, cronyism and disregard for Covid rules).

OK, Gove may not have got his hands dirty, or even come up with the idea, but if the leak involved Cummings and fellow travellers still on the inside, then this was done to advance Gove.

If I were aware of similar issues about Gove's behaviour, I too would be thinking, "Why should I keep your dirty secrets for you any more?"

bonfireheart · 27/06/2021 12:00

@PaulasRose Gina doesn't seem to relax into his passionate cuddle but back off
Are you saying that she was working with someone to trap him? Because that would be stupid as a mother and well generally as a human being, because she knows how it would make her look too.

sergeilavrov · 27/06/2021 12:00

As I mentioned on the first thread, the image is not from CCTV. You don’t put that in sensitive spaces, as it represents a security vulnerability. They have now identified the bug was hidden in the smoke alarm.

Every office and sensitive space needs to be searched and sweeped. This is a national security unity scandal, far larger than an affair.

Winnona · 27/06/2021 12:04

I agree @sergeilavrov who put it there & why release the footage now?
Also why blow the cover, as now as you say all buildings will be swept.

Douchebaggette · 27/06/2021 12:04

I agree.

This is not about an affair. This is about:

  • forcing people to die without their loved ones with them; forcing people to bury their loved ones over a laptop screen; forcing people to not see their loved family - all the whole fingering your girlfriend in your government office
  • paying that girlfiend with government money and giving her a position in which she can monetise her access to the governement
  • deliberately using personal emails to avoid legal scrutiny of your actions because those actions reveal you have been giving lucrative contracts to your friends and family

The affair is nothing. All the rest makes the man a fucking lowlife and a criminal. Like much of the rest of the cabinet.

Blossomtoes · 27/06/2021 12:04

They have now identified the bug was hidden in the smoke alarm

They haven’t. It’s one of a number of theories. MI5 have said they’re not interested so they obviously don’t think it’s a national security concern.

bonfireheart · 27/06/2021 12:04

I would have thought a security camera would have pointed at a door in a government to protect the person inside so they know who is coming and going in at all times for their safety. The cameras are not pointed at desks due to sensitive paperwork being on display.

lljkk · 27/06/2021 12:05

Thank goodness the security breach that allowed camera to be placed in smoke detector was wasted on ousting a "fucking useless" minister rather than on a truly important security matter.

I dare say Whistle-Blower is double hero in this case, for revealing the security gap.

TheoMeo · 27/06/2021 12:07

Are you saying that she was working with someone to trap him? Because that would be stupid as a mother and well generally as a human being, because she knows how it would make her look too.

Well perhaps he needed to be sacked/resign as there were links to her brother's company and suspicions over the contracts the Health Dept gave them and if he's gone they won't come to light.

The fact it’s not even worth investigating surely points to orders from higher up?

They know who put the camera in there, otherwise it would be investigated, and then prosecution considered if necessary

Or a motorbike, like Tyrone in Corrie 😉

Shock

That's... very worrying indeed if true.

sergeilavrov · 27/06/2021 12:13

Personally I think @Blossomtoes installed the bug, as they’ve been refuting that without evidence since the first thread despite this being the conversation focus of intelligence agencies and private sector security Grin Tell us how you did it! Do you have one in BoJo’s office too?

MI5 are interested, given they are helping inspect all offices and common devices as we speak.

Backhills · 27/06/2021 12:15

Is Tyrone having a mid life crisis. He was a youth last time I watched. That can't be right Grin

BiscoffAddict · 27/06/2021 12:17

Now it’s apparently been revealed that Martha has Long Covid, after she caught the virus from Matt last year. Is she or someone close to her leaking all of this? They must be surely.

Yes. He’s left Fizz and their kids for a much younger, stunning young girl called Alina. He’s started wearing ridiculous clothes, has bought himself a motorbike and they’ve just got matching tattoos. As you can see I’m way too invested in the storyline 😂

I’m also suspicious that MH has been planning to leave his wife for a while and that the untraceable account and the deals with his AP family is him feathering his nest financially speaking to set himself up nicely for the move……

Rosehip10 · 27/06/2021 12:24

Sarah Vine is right-wing airhead who's main role in life seems to be trying to get her DH to be PM. You think she would have a lucrative newspaper column if she was married to M.Gove, fishing/fish processing business man (his family business)?

Rosehip10 · 27/06/2021 12:26

@sergeilavrov who has "identified it" as such? Oh you you mean "security experts" posting on social media Hmm
