Aibu to be unhappy with this new carpet?

Honestly I could cry. We had some plastering done almost 3 months ago and they made a real hash of it. Finally now we have painted it all and fixed the issues. Flooring got done today. Have been so excited to get home and I have just cried. The grippers don't even attach to the carpets in some doorways on the landing. There's bumps all over the stairs and I'm convinced you can see the joins on every step. AIBU to think this is crap or am I just a serial complainer expecting too much!!

Phone the company and tell them your not happy they haven't done a proper job and they need to come and fix it!

That is rubbish carpet laying. You need to get them back to redo the stair bumps and doorways at least. I have no idea how they can fix the uncarpeted weird bit though.

Also the carpets all fraying at the edges as not under the gripper. And this particular gripper doesn't touch our bathroom floor anymore

That looks bloody awful OP, sorry! Call them back or email them photos of the work and ask them to rectify it.

If they don't, possibly contact trading standards and leave them a FB or similar review

Is it a new carpet or were they refitting your old one?

We haven't paid them a penny. They're coming back tomorrow to fit our wooden flooring (they did some already in our new kitchen which we were happy with).
I honestly don't know what to say to them. Do I wait for them to finish tomorrow or do I speak to them before they come back? We sre out all day tomorrow so have left the key with them.
Why does nobody take pride in their work, im just gutted.

That's horrendous, looks like the fitters have never fitted a carpet before in their lives.

It's a new carpet and is costing us £600, for our stairs and a small landing. New underlay and grippers.
