Just interested how everyone spends their evenings after work, do you do hobbies, If so what!? With being in lockdown for so long it’s tricky getting back into a normal evening routine!?

Cocksinsocks · 06/05/2021 17:50

I used to do stuff six nights out of seven. I won't go back to it. Maybe three nights now! Four at a push.

I went to a lot of concerts and theatre. Dinner with friends. Art classes. Cinema a lot. Pub. book club. Gym. Friends' houses. Late night gallery openings. Friends round for dinner. Movie night. Prosecco and games night.

Had no children and was living alone. Now living with dp and hoping for pregnancy.

Chickenlickeninthepot · 06/05/2021 17:50

Usual evening goes:
Take bra off
Make & eat dinner whilst bouncing baby
Watch one episode of a series
Say I'm going to bed then piss around on my phone and watching the news until it's nearly 11pm
Regret my choices
Go to bed

stressfuljune · 06/05/2021 17:50

Kids activities. Ages trying to get kids to bed. Tidying up. Washing. Flop around 11

FluffyPJs · 06/05/2021 17:51

I do my marking, lesson prep, answer emails, do leadership stuff, squeeze in eating dinner, watch crap on tv (usually whilst marking etc). Most evenings I do my school work til about 9/10pm.

BrilliantBetty · 06/05/2021 17:51

Mumsnet
On the phone to relatives
Bath & Beauty things (nails, hair masks, facemasks, gradual tan etc)
Interrupted by baby waking intermittently
TV / Netflix with DH
Bit of cleaning
Hanging up laundry to dry
Online shopping

squidgle · 06/05/2021 17:53

@nanbread

Mostly tidying, cleaning, then flopping on sofa at about 10.
10? Why so late?
RedRum27 · 06/05/2021 17:55

Marking or planning
Home workout
Tutoring some nights
Reading
Film/telly on the sofa
Catching up on soaps
Cooking
On the phone catching up with family or friends
Out for dinner and drinks pre-Covid

Some of these done alone if boyfriend is busy or working himself (both teachers) or we generally do these things together - pretty chilled and flexible about our evenings.

Turkishangora · 06/05/2021 17:56

Sometimes gym/swim/exercise class
Read
Cook
Ferry kids to activities
Book various activities online
Bit of laundry sorting
Occasional phone call
Sometimes a bit of lesson prep for work (lecturer)
Quite boring really. Used to go out all the time, drinks, dinner, cinema, theatre. Don't have the energy anymore

cloudcett · 06/05/2021 17:57

Get kids into bed, work for an hour or two, maybe watch an episode of something on netflix etc, go to bed. Same every evening, it's really dull!

Squirrelblanket · 06/05/2021 17:57

Usually make dinner, eat dinner, tidy kitchen. Then sofa for a couple of episodes of something or a film. Then bed to read until it's time to sleep.

At weekends, we'll also have a couple of drinks and the reading might be replaced with listening to music.

Whatwouldnanado · 06/05/2021 17:57

Four nights take kids to hobbies, another two my own/DH clubs. Cook dinner, half an hour in the garden, tidy up, perhaps a bit of tv.

HalfShrunkMoreToGo · 06/05/2021 18:00

Get DD to bed, bit of housework, some work calls with colleagues in US, now it's lighter I do a bit of gardening till 8.30ish.

Then reading, tv, knitting, sewing or just lolling about on MN and browsing internet.

JillsFlapjacks · 06/05/2021 18:01

SandrasAnnoyingFriend · 06/05/2021 18:10
