Just interested how everyone spends their evenings after work, do you do hobbies, If so what!? With being in lockdown for so long it’s tricky getting back into a normal evening routine!?

"I work on my project of translating the Bible into Klingon, then practice the theremin before teaching my dog how to ride a bike. I squeeze in a quick meal of seaweed and popcorn before a late night seance and some Wicca chanting for the good fortune of my favourite umbrella influencers. If I'm lucky, DD won't keep me up by playing her Polynesian techno music too loudly, and DH will whip me up a carrot martini to help me get to sleep."

Aside from kids' activities/baths/books/bed:

Run 3 nights x week for about 40 minutes
Cook and eat (very, very late, but it suits us)
Work (freelance at home)
Read fiction
Read the news
Bit of online shopping/admin if necessary
Chat with DH

I don't watch television much at all - we watch a movie or two at the weekend, but that's about it, and how I've always been.

I generally prefer low levels of both light and noise, come the evening.

Eat too much, fall asleep on the sofa, wake up & get online until the early hours because I've messed my sleep pattern up.. :-0

Pre-parenthood it would be either video gaming or tabletop gaming. Now with 4 mo DD it's either tabletop gaming (a social activity I've committed to) or catching up on sleep!

I have three DC and they are all v sporty, so after work / school I spend a lot of time driving them to various activities and picking up afterwards. Cook and eat supper and clear up at some point in between. Take DC3 upstairs and read him a story (the older two can put themselves to bed). From about 9 / 9.30pm I'll be watching TV with DH - some nights he'll watch something I'm not that interested in (eg snooker) so I mess about on my phone. Other nights we choose something together and put phones away. Go upstairs at 10.15/10.30pm, sometimes have a bath, always read in bed for a bit.

At weekends it's a lot more relaxed as the sporting activities will have taken place during the day. This weekend we're going to the pub tonight with another family and doing a zoom quiz tomorrow night.

It depends if DH is working away or at home.

When DH is away I usually cook, clean up, bathe and do a bit of preening and fit in exercise if didn't manage it earlier in day.

If DH at home I might go for a run straight after work with my friend if we didn't get up early enough in the morning or go on our lunch break, and then do my other exercise session, then dinner, TV bed or on nice evenings a picnic on the beach. I get loads more done when he is away and get to bed earlier so get up earlier too.

Friday nights are pizza and film night with DD. In days of yore Fridays were finish work early then have kids and their parents round for kids tea and adult drinks.

At the moment it's a bit more predictable:

Finish work
Maybe do a bit of yoga or walk dog if my turn
Have a bath
Cook
Watch TV, chill with DP, end up talking about random stuff/researching holidays and stay up too late
Realise it's midnight when dog starts nagging us to go to bed (he won't go up without us)
Regret choices

In normal times I do amateur theatre so out a few nights a week rehearsing or performing
