Anyone had AZ vaccine and been fine?

Had my first today at 5. Feel fine. No soreness in my arm. 5 hours post jab and I feel totally normal.

I’ve an important day at work tomorrow, loads to get done, deadlines to meet. I beed to be up early. Lying here in bed wondering if I’m going to be ill tomorrow, as almost everyone I know who’s had AZ has been.

I’m 35, not had covid (to my knowledge), and am healthy.

Wondering if I’ll get away side-effect free.
Have any of you been fine after it?

Bit too soon to tell OP but 🤞 for you!

Me

LadybirdRock · 04/05/2021 22:38

My mum! With both doses :)

Elisheva · 04/05/2021 22:38

Me, nothing other than a sore arm.

MadMadMadamMim · 04/05/2021 22:38

Yep. AZ vaccine roughly 7 weeks ago. Apart from the sore arm no side effects at all.

I've had Covid 7 months ago though.

Purplepjs · 04/05/2021 22:39

I had my first AZ about 9 weeks ago. But if a headache the next day but absolutely nothing else. OH was the same with his.

RagzReturnsRebooted · 04/05/2021 22:39

DH had nothing but a slightly sore arm. I've been giving second doses for a few weeks and most women seem to have side effects while more men didn't, but have still had a few women with none. Fewer than 10% though.

ladywithnomanors · 04/05/2021 22:39

I’ve had both vaccines . No issues at all.

Numbersarefun · 04/05/2021 22:40

I’ve had no side effects - not even a sore arm. In fact, I’ve probably made it sore by poking at it trying to find the injection site!! I only had my 1st last Thursday though, so I guess there’s still time.

cate16 · 04/05/2021 22:40

No side effects at all for me, not even a. sore arm.

Justbeenjabbed · 04/05/2021 22:40

Ooh good, thanks everyone! Maybe now I can sleep!!

slightly sore arm cos I'm a wimp and a little more tired than normal, but nothing to fuss about.

Titterofwit · 04/05/2021 22:41

Only had one so far but neither I nor DH have had any side effects other than soreness at the injection site.
Others I know who did have side effects seem to have headache+ tiredness starting about 12 hours after injection.

Cattitudes · 04/05/2021 22:41

Sore arm but nothing else.

FoxyTheFox · 04/05/2021 22:41

My side effects didn't kick in until the following day, I woke up with a headache and felt gradually worse over the course of the day until by teatime I was shivering, alternating hot and cold, and feeling sick as well as throwing up a couple of times. It carried on into the next day where I gradually felt better over the course of the day and by that evening was more or less back to normal.

akahsvegjj · 04/05/2021 22:42

My husband, parents and MIL all had AZ with no side effects at all.

PerhapsCarriageGreen · 04/05/2021 22:42

Very mild head ache and a sore arm was the downside, but also the best night's sleep in months!

BIWI · 04/05/2021 22:42

I've had both AZ jabs now. After the first one my arm was slightly sore for a few days. After the second one, 12 days ago, my arm was also slightly sore but less so than the first time around.

EastWestWhosBest · 04/05/2021 22:42

I’ve had Covid and was fine.
Dh had Covid and was ill with it.

SuperMonkeys · 04/05/2021 22:42

Dh felt a little off colour the next day, but altogether fine.

Cattitudes · 04/05/2021 22:42

Sore arm didn't hit until next day.

CarrieMoonbeams · 04/05/2021 22:43

Absolutely not a thing for me either - if I hadn't watched the needle going in, I'd have wondered if she'd missed! Grin

Hope you're OK too.

FoxyTheFox · 04/05/2021 22:43

The effect on my anxiety levels was great though, they dropped significantly as covid dropped right off my long list of worries.

RockPaperScissorLizardSpock · 04/05/2021 22:44

Just a very sore tender arm for me. My husband, however, felt unwell 12hrs later (just as he was going to bed), and didn’t feel better until 8am the following morning.
I hope you feel ok.

Needtheadvice · 04/05/2021 22:44

I noticed some side effects within the hour on the first one, nothing major or bad and a much worse reaction on the second one.
