Had my first today at 5. Feel fine. No soreness in my arm. 5 hours post jab and I feel totally normal.

I’ve an important day at work tomorrow, loads to get done, deadlines to meet. I beed to be up early. Lying here in bed wondering if I’m going to be ill tomorrow, as almost everyone I know who’s had AZ has been.

I’m 35, not had covid (to my knowledge), and am healthy.

Wondering if I’ll get away side-effect free.
Have any of you been fine after it?

Me, I was completely fine. Just a bit of a sore arm and occasional joint aches. Took paracetamol before bed as a precaution.

IReallyNeedMoreGin · 04/05/2021 23:26

I had mine Sunday. Felt a bit sleepy/drained for about 24 hours but that was it. Arm very very slightly achy on occasion but nothing major. Until I tried to lie on it! Have been fine today.

tenlittlecygnets · 04/05/2021 23:29

Me. Tiny bit of a sore arm but completely fine apart from that!

Goldieloxx · 04/05/2021 23:33

My husband (40), I on the other hand had 36 hours from hell

RowanAlong · 04/05/2021 23:34

Fine here

MumW · 04/05/2021 23:41

I had a very high temperature and violent shivers approx 10hrs after my jab.
Just felt generally under the weather the next day with a temperature in the evening but nowhere near as high as the first night.
I suggest you have plenty of Paracetamol and Ibroprofen to hand if you can't afford to miss work.
If you get even the merest hint of a temperature, then take something 4hourly until you can stop and go to bed. If you alternate them, then you'll easily cover the working day within the max tablets allowed.

I am 45 had my first a few weeks back and I had no symptoms , my mum in her 60's and friend in 50's had same time and also were fine

ApplesinmyPocket · 04/05/2021 23:43

Absolutely fine. Even my arm wasn't really what you might call sore.

DD 32 had it too. Also fine, apart from a slightly feverish feeling in the night, she said.

KnottyKnitting · 04/05/2021 23:44

Yes! Me, my dsis and sil- no side effects.

weegiemum · 04/05/2021 23:45

I didn't have a sore arm (but then, I have plenty of arm space to use!) but did feel a bit under the weather the next day. Not enough to stop my usual stuff, but I did take a couple of doses of paracetamol which helped through the day.

JadziaSnax · 05/05/2021 00:02

My arm was a bit tender for a week, no other symptoms though.

UpTheJunktion · 05/05/2021 00:03

No one in my family has even had a sore arm.

Carbara · 05/05/2021 00:08

I was, husband who is more tolerant of illness than I am had severe chills and aching joints for one evening, I had a teensy bit of a sore arm, and an itchy rash on my neck, that’s all. I was thrilled!

Sunnidayz · 05/05/2021 00:11

97yo DGM had both vaccinations of AZ, absolutely fine both times.

TheFormidableMrsC · 05/05/2021 00:12

Both vaccines, no side effects, not even a sore arm. Also immune compromised due to cancer treatment so very happy about that!

Pinkyavocado · 05/05/2021 00:14

Yes, no side effects.

NetballHoop · 05/05/2021 00:14

Only had the 1st jab so far, but no side effects at all.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 05/05/2021 00:14

Yeah I had mine almost 3 weeks ago on the 15th. I was fine. No side effects at all.

Doyoumind · 05/05/2021 00:18

Only had first dose, but no side effects.

GintyMcGinty · 05/05/2021 00:18

I was totally fine. No side affects at all.

DaisyDaisyMae · 05/05/2021 00:19

I have had both, no side effects at all.

mnaab · 05/05/2021 00:21

I felt ill after about 15/20 hours. Just. but fluey, nothing too bad and still managed an important deadline at work.

DH felt slightly off but took some paracetamol and was right as rain

Chloemol · 05/05/2021 00:33

Yes, no issues at all, same for one other family member who has had AZ and a number of friends

Fullmoonequalsnosleep · 05/05/2021 00:44

Both husband and I have had AZ. Him a few weeks ago, he was a bit tired that evening but that was all.!8”” I had mine at 10 yesterday morning and 10pm last night I have started to feel pretty ropey. Temperature of 38.9, shivering, can’t sleep and aching. Can’t be so bad though even though I feel like crap as I can still Mumsnet. It’s a bit of a distraction. Majority of my friends have had it and are absolutely fine!Smile

VaizyCrazyDaizy · 05/05/2021 00:52

Fine with first jab in the morning but by evening had a crushing headache, shivers, but felt freezing cold, felt terrible, all over muscle aches. Like a flu dose really. Arm very painful. After another day was fine. I was feeling ill with a bug already so maybe that was why I felt so bad. Looking forward to my second jab soon, with others assuring me will be less of a reaction!
