Had my first today at 5. Feel fine. No soreness in my arm. 5 hours post jab and I feel totally normal.

I’ve an important day at work tomorrow, loads to get done, deadlines to meet. I beed to be up early. Lying here in bed wondering if I’m going to be ill tomorrow, as almost everyone I know who’s had AZ has been.

I’m 35, not had covid (to my knowledge), and am healthy.

Wondering if I’ll get away side-effect free.
Have any of you been fine after it?

Had my first in mid-March. Felt slightly tired, but no major side effects.

Hey all I had az yesterday first one feeling a bit achy and head a bit sore and sore arm but hoping thats all it will be for me

liverpool1981 · 05/05/2021 10:59

I had my first yesterday at 2pm and woke at 1.45am with the chills and pain all over my body. I am still in bed I can't move, my face is so sore, my head is really pounding. My face is raspberry red and I can't face food. Will have I taken such a reaction?? Any help appreciated. I don't want to ring the hospital as I feel as if I am a nuisance.

DH and I had the first jab with no side effects. Well, my injection site was a bit tender for a day or two, but no big deal.

DadsTrilby · 05/05/2021 11:08

Sore arm for me, nothing for my husband.

Hm2020 · 05/05/2021 11:09

Slightly sore arm the next day and that was it. Smile

Orangebug · 05/05/2021 11:30

I was fine, just a sore arm.

Streamside · 05/05/2021 11:48

I'd a dull headache about 24 hrs after and it lasted on and off for about 8 days. Strange metallic taste in my mouth on a few occasions and I was stiff and sore for about 48 hrs after.

tashac89 · 05/05/2021 12:22

I had a killer headache for about 4 days, but it was manageable with paracetamol and ibuprofen. Arm ached like crazy for about a week.

Holshicup · 05/05/2021 12:35

Sore arm for a couple of days, nothing else.

notanothertakeaway · 05/05/2021 12:42

Totally fine

WouldBeGood · 05/05/2021 12:43

Absolutely fine. Hope you are too @Justbeenjabbed

itsalltrue22 · 05/05/2021 12:46

Mild headache for an hour a few hours after the jab but nothing else at all

TheSandman · 05/05/2021 12:50

Had both jags - slight arm pain at the from the first one for a day or so - but that could well just be chance. (I was a blood donor for a long time. Sometimes it hurt - sometimes it didn't.)

Nothing else I can relate to the vaccine at all apart from a slight annoyance at having to wait 15 minutes afterwards before I could drive home.

StellaLeonte · 05/05/2021 13:01

I had my AZ vaccination in March, didn’t have any side effects whatsoever.

Spaceprincess · 05/05/2021 13:07

I vaccinate people with the AZ, only anecdotal but most of my 2nd vaccines say they were fine.
If I just went off social media I'd think everyone had side effects.
Hope you are ok with yours.

SirVixofVixHall · 05/05/2021 13:08

Friend (late fifties) had no effects at all.

cheeseismydownfall · 05/05/2021 13:16

Me - bit of a sore arm, restless first night and mildly tired the next day - but coincided with starting my period which could easily account for symptoms 2 and 3.

DH - no side effects at all

FlossieTeacakesFurCoat18 · 05/05/2021 14:26

Just an achey arm for a day or two. I'm 40, no health issues, no previous covid.

londonrach · 05/05/2021 14:40

Had the first injection only so far. No reaction not even a sore arm.

VodkaSlimline · 05/05/2021 14:47

Had my first dose on Saturday, was totally fine. Took paracetamol straight afterwards and every 6 hours until Sunday bedtime, maybe that helped!

DynamoKev · 05/05/2021 14:56

Me. Not even a sore arm

simbobs · 05/05/2021 14:56

Had 1st with no side effects whatsoever. Thanks for the thread, as the only ones we usually have on here are negative, leading people to believe that everyone has a bad experience. Simply not true.

emmylousings · 05/05/2021 15:19

I was really tired the day after, but I'm older than you. I was fine after a few extra hours sleep.

CustardySergeant · 05/05/2021 16:16

I had it on 28th February and no side effects at all. I'm 67.
