I take it mentioning her or her partner is banned.

Can I just say how utterly disgusted I am from learning about the actions of her partner on here- and nearly just as much from the lack of reporting of this by the press and on here too? Disgraceful. The man still has the gall to have a live Twitter account!!!

Knight says 'I have had two years of incredible help and support and I'm fine.'

How will the baby and girls Joyce viewed be - will they get incredible help and support, will they ever be fine again, mentally and physically?

CoolCatTaco · 20/04/2021 13:40

She's an horrendous human being, selfish, ridiculous & clearly desperate.

Spasiba · 20/04/2021 13:42

Complete news to me. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

LolaSmiles · 20/04/2021 13:47

This was news to me.
We seem to have a 2 tier system where those with connections and money seem to get off lightly for horrific acts, meanwhile others get taken down the nick for having a couple too many beers.

Thisisworsethananticpated · 20/04/2021 13:50

So why start a thread in her name

He’s the bad one (and his actions were heinous)

But what’s the burn the witch shit

Start a thread about that fucking nonce

GlassBoxSpectacular · 20/04/2021 13:52

@alltoomuchrightnow

Didn't she call her ex best friend Liz Jones a 'vile cunt' too? (I like Liz, for the record.. yes she has issues, for sure...but not an evil bitch like IK seems to be..)
She apparently called LJ a ‘vile cunt’ who ‘wanks her cats’.

Because ‘cat wanking’ (NB: no idea if LJ engaging in such behaviour is indeed true or not) is reprehensible, whereas wanking over images of a baby being sexually abused is condemnable only in terms of the inconvenience that ensues from it becoming public knowledge.

Bouledeneige · 20/04/2021 13:52

It's disgusting. Why on earth would any woman choose to stay with a man like that? And why on earth the cynical media protection for such vile people? And why would a judge take being in a relationship as proof as his potential rehab? I'm sure the same would not apply to a working class family. It's all disgraceful.

GlassBoxSpectacular · 20/04/2021 13:53

You’re missing the point.

The important thing is that India is doing just fine.

Bitofanexpert · 20/04/2021 13:59

Before I get accused again (wrongly) of focusing on her that is simply because the zapped thread last night was about her and titled as such.

Although it is interesting what some posters on here choose to get riled and antagonistic about... it really is.

I don't know how she could even stand to look at him, never mind share a bed and a life with him.

I have no words for what he looked at, he makes me feel sick. Those poor babies.

LaurieFairyCake · 20/04/2021 14:10

You just know he will have claimed it's 'research' or ' no one is harmed because it's all fake' etc etc

My feelings on it are that some things in life aren’t forgivable and participating in the abuse of children, as one is doing by looking at the filmed or photographed abuse of children and therefore creating a demand for it, is one of those things.

By continuing a relationship with a person who has behaved so disgustingly, it sends a message that such behaviour is actually forgivable. If you understood the gravity of child abuse, the lifelong damage done to the victims, how could you possibly continue a relationship with someone who had been involved in it in any way?

As PP have said, her Twitter statement on the matter was all “poor me”. I would have a tiny shred of respect if she in any way acknowledged that his behaviour was abhorrent, or showed even an ounce of concern for the victims of child abuse.

I would feel exactly the same about a man who chose to continue in a relationship with a partner (male or female) who had been convicted of such offences. It’s not about her being a woman (though I do think it all the more revolting considering she is a parent). And if either of them had any decency they would at the very least have slunk away from public life. He continues to use a Twitter account (why he is allowed internet access considering the crime he was convicted of, I can’t understand); he clearly is not remorseful.

Thisisworsethananticpated · 20/04/2021 14:53

I get that
LetTheBirdsSing

It’s atrocious what he did

Whilst I don’t like people piling onto her for him
I can also understand the anger

So we just accept that some women condone accept that behaviour?

What are you suggesting? That we are minimising CSA?

I’d never even heard of India Knight and your OP gives no context.

Tehmina23 · 20/04/2021 15:09

I have just looked at Eric Joyce's entry on Wikipedia and it states that he was found guilty of actually making indecent images of a child rather than 'just' watching the images...

How could anyone want to stay with him??
How did he not get an actual custodial sentence!!

Thisisworsethananticpated · 20/04/2021 15:09

The important thing is that India is doing just fine

I suspect when this hits social media which it will , it’s started - she won’t be so fine

And as to the morality of that , I just don’t know anymore

I certainly couldn’t stomach a partner that did that
Whether I deserve to lose my livelihood? Jury’s out for me

Fauvist · 20/04/2021 15:10

Isn’t she half Belgian?

Yes, and also her mother was of Indian descent (not sure what nationality).

Thisisworsethananticpated · 20/04/2021 15:10

How did he not get an actual custodial sentence!!

A PP said that watching babies get raped is so widespread they don’t even have the capacity to process the cases anymore

Ain’t technology great

Blackberrycream · 20/04/2021 15:29

The Burchill article is the sort of journalism we need more of. Maybe The Times should hire her. She would be there on merit, not connections.
I knew about the allegations ( but not the details I have learned about on this thread. I have found it strange that everything was continuing as normal. I had assumed allegations might relate to a relationship he had with the daughter of a family friend who was under 18. That was shocking enough on it’s own. I cannot fathom a woman allowing this man to stay under her roof.
I have read her being scathing about unmarried women. For all her privilege, she comes across as desperately needy. She seems to want to hang on to a relationship that most would run from. Her poor children.

I believe the term used was "Rancid cunt". Also "Cat wanker"

I'm with you OP.

One must assume she has chums high up in MN as she does in News UK, the regularity with which threads on her get taken down.

mosgirl · 20/04/2021 16:19

I'd never read the Liz Jones article before. I'm not a fan but she's gone up in my estimation.

I cancelled my Times subscription last year because I was furious at their lack of coverage of the Eric Joyce case and after reading the Julie Birchall article. I must admit I succumbed and reinstated it because I missed the crossword..... I've just reread the Julie Birchall article and cancelled it again.
