I take it mentioning her or her partner is banned.

Can I just say how utterly disgusted I am from learning about the actions of her partner on here- and nearly just as much from the lack of reporting of this by the press and on here too? Disgraceful. The man still has the gall to have a live Twitter account!!!
I remember he was an ex Labour MP had seemed to be violent. I had not known about the sex bits.

"Sex bits" - it's a little more serious than this

Wagsandclaws · 20/04/2021 12:40

Wow, the fact I didn't know about any of this doesn't say much for my inability to keep up with current affairs but I've just read that Julie Birchill link and I'm 🤢.

She's certainly got her a Prince amongst men hasn't she? 🙄

stackemhigh · 20/04/2021 12:40

I don’t get it... why is the thread title about a woman when a man has been found guilty?

Anotherlovelybitofsquirrel · 20/04/2021 12:41

He actually searched and viewed from 12 months old. He's a fucking disgusting monster.

Cadent · 20/04/2021 12:42
(Just for accuracy India Knight is not white although she is certainly privileged).

Julie Burchill certainly pulls no punches here www.spiked-online.com/2020/08/12/the-silence-of-the-hacks/
Isn’t she half Belgian?

BuyYourOwnBBQGlenda · 20/04/2021 12:43

Wow, I hadn't heard about this. I thought she was married to Andrew O'Hagan? Goes off to Google. Obviously he is vile but why a woman would stay with someone like that..m

MrsMackesy · 20/04/2021 12:45

Knight says 'It was horrible for it to become public.' No, it was good that it became public. What was horrible - gross understatement - was what Joyce did and I judge him for that. For the record, alcohol consumption does not cause paedophilia. The images he searched for and watched are of the most serious. To chose to stay with him, to choose to live with him over her child and to use whatever media influence, connections and privilege she has to prevent coverage and to keep him out of prison - I judge her for that.

MrsMackesy · 20/04/2021 12:48

To choose to stay with him...

DioneTheDiabolist · 20/04/2021 12:50

She's been a dreadful person for years, so when she chose to become a child abuse facilitator it didn't surprise me at all.

Andrew O'Hagan and India Knight is the weirdest pairing ever. They broke up years ago, probably that's why!
PollyParanoia · 20/04/2021 12:52

I've seen her be super judgmental about women who put ice cubes in their wine or prefer chocolate to cheese.

But, nah, shielding a child abuser, that's nothing.

PollyParanoia · 20/04/2021 12:53

Yes indeed re. Andrew O Hagan. And the first husband who's now happily married to handsome man and living super chic life.

Her taste in men is nothing if not eclectic.

mosgirl · 20/04/2021 12:56

I wouldn't do what India Knight has done. She has to live with herself.

I do think it is disgraceful that the whole thing was under reported. Perhaps because her stepfather is a director of News Corporation.

ChubbyLittleManInACampervan · 20/04/2021 12:56

Oh no! I did not know this

She did well in suppressing this story then as I read lots of news online

MrsMackesy · 20/04/2021 13:00

I do think that the thread title should read 'and Eric Joyce.'

littlbrowndog · 20/04/2021 13:02

Men that view children and babies being sexually abused for money drive the market for this and so more children and babies will be sexually abused

How do you ever justify to yourself watching babies and children being sexually abused or indeed your partner that it’s ok

iMatter · 20/04/2021 13:03

That Burchill article is a real eye opener

EsmaCannonball · 20/04/2021 13:11

@stackemhigh

I don’t get it... why is the thread title about a woman when a man has been found guilty?
It's because previous threads on her have been zapped. If anyone mentions her ability to judge other women over the most trivial matters while overlooking her own partner getting off on extreme child abuse, the thread is deemed 'not in the spirit of Mumsnet.' I don't think it's misogyny to point out the misogyny of those women who cheer on the vilest of men.

I said on the previous thread that I've disliked her ever since I saw her on television sneering at 'shopgirls.' I'll take a shopgirl over a paedophile any day.

ghostyslovesheets · 20/04/2021 13:20

@StillCoughingandLaughing

Are we supposed to pretend this hasn’t happened in the same way we’re supposed to pretend the McCanns aren’t guilty of child neglect?
see this is why threads like this go poof - you might think that of them but legally they where found guilty of NOTHING - by children's services or the police - so posting things like that will get threads and posts removed. If you can't grasp basics like that don't moan about things being banned from discussion - you can't lie about people
MrsBerthaRochester · 20/04/2021 13:24

I had heard nothing about this! And her tweet!! Talk about portraying yourself as the victim! Horrible the pair of them.

MrsMackesy · 20/04/2021 13:30

Both Knight and Joyce have chosen to be in the public eye. It sounds like little Knight writes about others is 'in the spirit' so how can she complain when the light is turned back on her and her convicted paedophile partner? She writes with vile cruelty about others. Having read this thread, MN would be wrong to delete it - thus far.

AuntyFungal · 20/04/2021 13:30

I judge - I judge a lot!

I also judge people who choose to be friends with them.

How you could share a bed... just blows my mind.

PercyPug · 20/04/2021 13:33

I judge her - he had an image of the worst kind of abuse to happen to a 12 month old baby.

thebabessavedme · 20/04/2021 13:33

@stackemhigh, I think the reason the thread is about a woman and not the man who has been found guilty is because, and right now i am very happy the use the sweeping statement 'the vast majority' of women are simply incredulous that a supposed woman of education and intelligence has decided to stand by said man, this woman has money, has a good income, has experience of the world, is a mother, has friends with status and influence who would help her and STILL defends the indefensible, I think the vast majority of women would never understand how a relationship with a man who enjoys the sexual abuse of young children can carry on, can you imagine having a sexual relationship with him?, imagine him touching you? laying next to him in bed?, I think I would puke if he bought me so much as a cup of tea!
