To think Cuthbert looks like a Colin who lived a hard life?

Be realistic, Cuthbert looks a version of Colin who has had a hard life and is barely clinging on to his previous good looks.

If I was M&S I’d be pissed off too, they could have at least made his eyes straight. Grin

Yeah, Cuthbert is Colin's wayward brother, who's gone off the rails and has turned up hungover! 😂

SisterAgatha · 16/04/2021 20:15

I saw Cuthbert and thought, oh that one looks a bit melted. Hang on... that’s not Colin!

I want to know what Cuthbert tastes like! Grin
Colin is quite sickly...

Kaptain · 16/04/2021 20:16

He's been doing too much grass.

SpringtimeSummertime · 16/04/2021 20:18

I also want to know why Wiggles at Sainsburys is acceptable but Cuthbert at Aldi is not...

Whatsthatohno · 16/04/2021 20:18

Either way, I really really want one right now. One of the only supermarket cakes I very much enjoy.

SisterAgatha · 16/04/2021 20:19

Twins. Always in competition.

Cuthbert dropped out of the private school his parents invested in to chase wild highs and lows, spent his trust fund on smarties, found himself in the gutter.

Colin graduated with flying colours, married Connie, has been head of the corporation for 30 years.

But now Cuthbert is back. And he wants revenge.

Yes I have thought about this too much.

Cuthbert is a gritty wee bastard, definitely Colin's poor relation.

JustDanceAddict · 16/04/2021 20:23

😂

RigaBalsam · 16/04/2021 20:24

I am loving the twitter. So funny

Arbadacarba · 16/04/2021 20:27

But Cuthbert is a miles better name. It makes me think of Cuthbert Cringeworthy from the Bash Street Kids - he was my favourite Bash Streeter back in my Beano days.

Isaidnope · 16/04/2021 20:28

I prefer Cuthbert as a name too. Also think Wiggles is the same so unsure why they never sued Sainsbury’s.

babbaloushka · 16/04/2021 20:29

My favourite is Morris from Morrisons.

Igotjelly · 16/04/2021 20:29

This has honestly made my day!

And Curly from Tesco!

Twitter is funny ! People are witty.

SisterAgatha · 16/04/2021 20:32

Small child ; Look mum it’s Colin the Caterpillar.

Cuthbert to himself “omg she thinks I am Colin. I must be looking sharp today boi!”

Cuthbert was the golden son. The PFB who got the good name.

Cuthbert shone at sports and school and was very popular. He sneered at Colin who was a swot and never had a girlfriend.

But Cuthbert messed up uni when he got in with the wrong crowd, and moved back home. He was increasingly bitter about the way that Colin got a good degree and a high-flying job. Boring Colin! Cuthbert sneered at how booooring Colin was, especially when Colin settled down with a nice girl and they had a family.

Cuthbert, the golden boy, got too keen on cocaine and partying. While Colin steadily climbed and succeeded, Cuthbert had to rely on handouts from their parents, who can't understand where it all went wrong - when they gave him everything.

This is total social commentary 😂

Quite seriously though, M&S are being trolled and bantered by practiced professionals Aldi and they don't even realise diagram attached Grin

Have been smiling at social media today.

How come M&S don't realise that all they've achieved is a shed load of free advertising for Aldi, with people who never been there before now going along to give them a try ?

SisterAgatha · 16/04/2021 20:43

It’s worked really, I’m going to buy a Colin this weekend and scoff the lot. Probably buy up all the weird hot cross bun combos they brought out this year too.

My colleague mentioned that you can get Colin in a jar. ShockShock I must have one!

SisterAgatha · 16/04/2021 20:45

BackforGood Seriously, the trip to our local Aldi is not worth saving £1 on a busted up version of Colin Grin

Does that make Cyril from Asda the exotic cousin then?
