To think Cuthbert looks like a Colin who lived a hard life?

Be realistic, Cuthbert looks a version of Colin who has had a hard life and is barely clinging on to his previous good looks.

If I was M&S I’d be pissed off too, they could have at least made his eyes straight. Grin

DD (15) and friends are threatening to write stickerz with #free cuthbert on them and stick them to all the Colins they can find in local M and S stores. I've advised this may get them a lifetime ban from M & S and prosecution by RSPCA for caterpillar abuse.. they don't seem overly bothered ( don't think they'll actually get carry through!!)

@YoureAllABunchOfBastards thank you. I did wonder.

I can't comment specifically on Colin or Cuthbert, but, overwhelmingly Aldi produce isn't substandard.

I love Aldi, but their cakes are invariably not worth eating. Cuthbert is no exception.

@Weirdwonders

I wouldn’t call taking the work and expense that goes into creating a successful brand, tracing round the packaging, filling it with something substandard and giving it a rip off name as being ‘two steps ahead’, I hope M&S win this one.
Ha ha was just a tiny joke ~ Sprinters versus Walkers , two steps ahead Wink

I'd love to be fly on the wall while the whole court room has to act all serious
while discussing 2 caterpillar cakes called Colin and Cuthbert. 😂😂😂😂

Onlinedilema · 18/04/2021 17:58

Id so love to be a tester for an official verdict.
I vaguely recall buying the Asda one once and found it dry. Might have to officially research this.

Co Op tweet was funny Grin

I tried Waitrose’s version and it wasn’t as good as M&S. I think M&S do better cakes generally.
I really want a mini Colin now.

I've heard Colin's asked Connie to marry him so she can't be compelled to give evidence against him.

Esma 😂😂😂😂😂.

Won't Colin and Cuthbert look adorable in their Court suits.

Morgysmum · 24/04/2021 18:26

What gets me is I didn't know M&S did a caterpillar cake. But that's maybe because I cannot afford to shop there.
But one thing that is slightly bothering me, is other supermarkets do caterpillar cakes, a couple have names starting with "C", so why are M&S only going after Alidi?

Dontwanttolivewithmylover · 24/04/2021 18:34

There is a clear class distinction. I leave you to your own conclusions. 😉😄

Mysterian · 24/04/2021 19:04

Harrods do one called Lord Cecil deCaterpillar the Fourth.

I’ll just leave this here...
