It's doing my head - and my scrolling finger - in.

Oh no. People not using MN as other posters want them to is a big problem this week. Sad

There's no facility on Mumsnet to like posts though.

Sometimes - actually frequently- a previous posters says what I want to say, but so much more eloquently.

It adds nothing to the conversation to just type This.

I think if someone has given great advice there's a chance the OP might miss it, especially of there's loads of posts. So copying and pasting it and saying you agree or whatever means the OP is more likely to see it surely

insancerre · 05/04/2021 17:08

What is with people on the internet making rules for other people?

Are we allowed to quote and say 'I agree with you'?

I do it to show i appreciate what someone has written, and to give people another chance to read it if they scrolled past.
Not going to stop either OP. Grin

PolarnOPirate · 05/04/2021 17:09

I see your point but it’s also infuriating when someone on page 10 says ‘what @username said’ ...... I’m not going to search 10 pages of usernames to see what they agree with.

Not sure. I mean I hate Zombie thread resurrections but don't mind posters agreeing with each other if that's what they want to do.

Yep

OlympicProcrastinator · 05/04/2021 17:11

Sorry op I couldn’t help it Grin I’ve done it myself but I agree, on reflection I can see why it’s annoying. I shall stop.

I love being quoted. Are you sad you don’t get quoted, OP?

God yes! I'm actually thinking MNHQ should dumb down further cave and add a 'like' button. As long as we more discerning posters can hide it.
