To order takeaway two nights in a row?!

Terrible decision maker here... AIBU if I order takeaway from a local pub tonight? We had an Indian last night... I'm a single parent to three kids, this last week I've had two hospital appointments, worked every day, done all the childcare around that, and have a physical disability, with one DC with ALN. Oh and I have a fractured wrist. I'm exhausted. It's going to cost about £45... money isn't really an issue but I feel guilty as. I've packed on the weight over this last lockdown. So AIBU or would you go for it?

I don’t have any of those excuses. I ordered Japanese yesterday and I’ve got an Indian due in half hour. Go for it Wink

FiveGs · 27/03/2021 17:42

Go for it, if it'll take some of the stress from meal planning aspect in order to have a quiet night I would. No judgement here. What would you get?

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 27/03/2021 17:42

After that kind of week..Fuck It
Enjoy your takeaway and eat chicken salad from Monday Grin

Megan2018 · 27/03/2021 17:43

If we had takeaways here I’d definitely do it!
I’d sell my soul for a Chinese but it’s a trek.

8dpwoah · 27/03/2021 17:43

I would if money isn't a concern. You could order something you know will be a bit healthy if you want to 'justify' it but tbh you've got to eat something anyway, may as well make life easy if you're happy to do so and it won't cause you any problems.

Sirzy · 27/03/2021 17:43

If you can afford it then do whatever you need to to cope!

StrapOnSallyChasedMeDownTheAli · 27/03/2021 17:43

Ooh, we're having a takeaway for the 2nd night in a row too. Go for it, OP. It's one of the few pleasures at the moment so don't feel guilty about it. Enjoy.

20viona · 27/03/2021 17:44

Do it

BackAwayFatty · 27/03/2021 17:44

Go for it because you want it & can afford it ... more so because you've got a lot going on. Enjoy!

BendingSpoons · 27/03/2021 17:44

Well if you could go to the pub, you would probably have dessert, so this is healthier Grin

Go for it and give yourself a break.

Halo1234 · 27/03/2021 17:44

Do it and enjoy every bite.

BarbedBloom · 27/03/2021 17:45

I just did it but my excuse is that I am moving 3 hours away on Tuesday and have spent two days packing so am exhausted Grin

sherrystrull · 27/03/2021 17:45

Absolutely! We're getting one later! Also had McDonald's yesterday!

30scrisis · 27/03/2021 17:45

Oh I'd have a mushroom stroganoff wishing comes with rice, chips and garlic bread, two DC would have lasagna and one would probably have a bacon burger... I've just been called lazy so wondered if it was a bit unjustified! Thank you all, I feel a little less guilty now!

Ds is very happy

shivawn · 27/03/2021 17:46

Why not? I ordered takeaway for lunch and dinner yesterday. 🤷‍♀️

FireflyRainbow · 27/03/2021 17:46

You don't need to supply any reasons op YANBU go for it. I've ordered out for food 4 times this week.

30scrisis · 27/03/2021 17:47

It's a local pub who do home cooked food, hence the price. It is a little steep but I just really fancy a home cooked meal rather than a greasy takeaway again!

Go for it. Enjoy it. Sounds great 👍

OhWhyNot · 27/03/2021 17:47

And I’m a single parent to one child

I feel no guilt at all (though I do add broccoli to the Chinese order so he gets some veg 😁 )

30scrisis · 27/03/2021 17:48

Glad there are so many other that feel my pain tonight. Isn't life just a little bit difficult at the moment?
