To order takeaway two nights in a row?!

Terrible decision maker here... AIBU if I order takeaway from a local pub tonight? We had an Indian last night... I'm a single parent to three kids, this last week I've had two hospital appointments, worked every day, done all the childcare around that, and have a physical disability, with one DC with ALN. Oh and I have a fractured wrist. I'm exhausted. It's going to cost about £45... money isn't really an issue but I feel guilty as. I've packed on the weight over this last lockdown. So AIBU or would you go for it?

Go for it, don't feel guilty and enjoy it. Sounds like you deserve it. As others have said there arent many pleasures at the moment and that sounds like one of them!

peekiboo · 27/03/2021 18:18

YANBU at all!
Also having read all the posts upthread thank you for making me feel less shit about my food choices this week! Definitely really struggling at present

Do whatever you need to at the moment x

TowandaForever · 27/03/2021 18:21

@30scrisis

In that case if it's worth the money I hope you really enjoy it and the break from cooking!

30scrisis · 27/03/2021 18:22

It's an overwhelming yes then!! I think we do guilt ourselves sometimes our of making decisions that can make our lives easier. Well I'm all ordered - four meals and four homemade cheesecakes for £57... bit more expensive that originally planned but like a few of you have said it's supporting a local business too 😉

I had an Indian and a cornetto tonight. What's everyone else having?

Paul72 · 27/03/2021 18:28

Roselilly36 · 27/03/2021 18:30

Go for it, life’s short OP, we often have lunch & dinner delivered!

Justkeeprollingalong · 27/03/2021 18:30

That was for @StrapOnSallyChasedMeDownTheAli

adeleh · 27/03/2021 18:31

Go fo it and enjoy.

Vetyveriohohoh · 27/03/2021 18:32

I ordered too much Indian food last night so we could have it again tonight - go for it

MMMarmite · 27/03/2021 18:32

Who called you lazy? You should get them out of your life!

Enjoy your takeaway. Then if you have the money, maybe you could look into some easier healthy options, e.g. prechopped/ home delivery. Your life sounds exhausting.

Ninkanink · 27/03/2021 18:37

Definitely not being unreasonable, even without without your list of mitigating circumstances.

Flowers Enjoy!

Notsoaccidentproneanymore · 27/03/2021 18:38

I think of it as helping to keep local business going by ordering.

Really don’t see it’s a problem unless you just live on burger and chips for every meal.

mcmooberry · 27/03/2021 18:40

Mushroom Stroganoff and cheesecake delicious!! We had a fish and chipper yesterday and having an Indian takeaway today but I prefer your menu!

customwatkins · 27/03/2021 18:40

Go for it! Doing your part for the economy and all that Grin

troppibambini6 · 27/03/2021 18:40

We are having Chinese. We had roast chicken last night but we had a Japanese take away on Thursday.

troppibambini6 · 27/03/2021 18:40

Crack on I say!!

BigSandyBalls2015 · 27/03/2021 18:41

Think of it as supporting a local business .... enjoy

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 27/03/2021 18:43

Str you sure it wasn't in jest?

If my mate told me she'd ordered takeaway again tonight I'd have called her a lazy moo, when I did something daft earlier she called me a dozy mare! (And I was, to be fair)

However, if they were serious I'd be giving them a wide berth. I don't do Facebook or anything like that, but if I did I'd probably end up blocking a lot of people!

Hope it's nice!

I can't eat much of anything you can get delivered, but I'd be ordering regular takeaway if I could, especially if it was from a local pub//restaurant!

earthyfire · 27/03/2021 18:47

If you can afford to and it makes you happy why not?!

ParkheadParadise · 27/03/2021 18:47

Go for it
We usually eat out 2/3 times a week and have takeaways 2 nights a week. I don't feel guilty.
We've just ordered a takeaway and I've ordered cocktails
Enjoy your dinner.
