Someone that is controversial in the media or comes across unpleasant on TV or whatever?

What were they like in real life?

AIBU to think there might be some surprises and some of them will be a persona on TV or whatever?

@Handsoffstrikesagain, yes, it's the beautiful Al Pacino. That still is from my favourite film, The Godfather (specifically, part 2). Lucky you!

HerBigChance · 24/03/2021 17:24

@Handsoffstrikesagainands - yes it is

@SophieRaworthsDress

Weirdly I know someone called Alan whose dad looked like Omar Sharif!
😂 How weird! Not me though, more an Alana really 😂

No idea if he’s classed as a villain but Michael French, and he was vile.

@Saggingninja

I met Al Pacino once. He was having an affair with an acquaintance of mine in NY who happened to be very tall. I met him briefly before they both slipped into his massive limo. He is very short and looks like a tramp. Also he teases his hair upwards and uses product. But he was charming and held my hand slightly longer than necessary.

😂

I don't know why, but that doesn't surprise me at all.

I was introduced to Harvey Weinstein at a party and found it terrifying. He was huge with tiny little eyes and a really threatening aura, and had sweat pouring down his face. I couldn't wait until I was able to back away into the crowd, and left the party almost immediately. Not at all surprised by the subsequent revelations.

LadyEloise · 25/03/2021 13:08

Seeing pictures of HW in Vanity Fair, Tatler etc in the past, I was always a little Hmm that he was
a) photographed a lot.
b) photographed with so many different,

usually beautiful women.
I had no idea who he was.

Helookslikeamuppet · 25/03/2021 20:58

Another one for a blonde morning television presenter..not nice at all!

Saggingninja · 25/03/2021 22:06

Laquila Re: Pacino I don't know if you ever saw that truly execrable film he was in with Adam Sandler - 'Jack and Jill' where Sandler played both himself and his twin sister (yes I know I'm laughing already) Hmm well in the film Pacino falls for the twin sister who is about three times his height. I always wondered if that was a nudge at Pacino's penchant for tall women.

The only other thing I know about that affair was that my acquaintance said that she could never get hold of Pacino. He was surrounded by assistants/PAs etc etc, all with different numbers. But whenever he phoned HER and couldn't get through he would go bananas! I told her not to answer his calls and let him bloody wait, but she would break the 100 meter sprint getting across the room to answer His Lordship's rare calls.

Who wouldnt though, in his prime? although DeNiro did it more for me.

I served the actor who played Trevor Jordache in Brookside at a shop I was working in. He was very nice & polite 🙂

LadyEloise · 04/04/2021 08:16

Trevor Jordache ( Bryan Murray ) is in a long running soap called Fair City on Irish tv. I don't watch it but it's very popular.
