I'm feeling a bit bored of cornflakes and I think I should try something different this week so, what is/was your favourite cereal? I like the mini weetabix but I haven't had them in a while.

I'm very fond of mini Shredded Wheat (renamed Malties). I also like what used to be Malties (the brown lattice cereal).

I eat granola in embarrassing quantities.

MsChatterbox · 08/03/2021 01:48

Oh there is so many good cereals! I love cereal. If I'm having a treat cereal then blueberry wheats, coco pops, krave, frosties.

Healthier then Weetabix, special k red berries, Berry granola.

funinthesun19 · 08/03/2021 01:48

I love Special K on the odd occasion that I eat cereal.

LoveFall · 08/03/2021 01:49

I like multigrain Cheerios.

WhatWouldPhyllisCraneDo · 08/03/2021 01:50

Shreddies or shredded wheat. But only with really really cold milk and an embarrassing amount of sugar.

Some of the mini shredded wheat with fruit in are nice too.

I rarely eat cereal because I only like it with so much sugar and I like to pretend I'm being healthy.

Malties are shreddies aren't they? Not shredded wheat. At least Morrisons "mighty malties" are off brand shreddies.

I only buy own brand cereal. And no where seems to do their own shredded wheat, except Aldi so I hardly ever have them for the rare occasion I actually want cereal Sad

OnSecondThoughts · 08/03/2021 01:55

I like to mix them up - weetabix and bran flakes, or an oat-so-simple porridge with a weetabix in too, then add a mashed up banana and a bit of golden syrup, or a yoghurt.

SirenSays · 08/03/2021 02:05

Kellogs nutri-grain cereal. The iron man food one.

Weetabix and Shredded wheat,

You're right - I knew they'd messed with my memory some way. What used to be Malties have been renamed as Shreddies.

Tesco's Malt Wheats are what I think of as Malties. And their [X] Wheats are what I think of as Shreddies (mini Shredded Wheat) but with fillings of fruit.

WhatWouldPhyllisCraneDo · 08/03/2021 02:22

I don't ever remember them being called Malties! Not the evil Nestle ones anyway!

Mini shredded wheat and shreddies aren't the same though. Are they? They have a different texture.

Not picking a fight. Just confused about cereal Grin
