I'm feeling a bit bored of cornflakes and I think I should try something different this week so, what is/was your favourite cereal? I like the mini weetabix but I haven't had them in a while.

Dorset Cereals ...simply nutty ..nom nom

Theelderscrolls · 08/03/2021 22:28

If im feeling indulgent - crunchy nut cornflakes.
If I'm being sensible - granola or bran flakes.

MooChops89 · 08/03/2021 22:28

Another mourning the discontinuation of Ricicles - I only discovered they'd stopped making them after I drove to 3 different supermarkets at 37 weeks pregnant absolutely craving them. I sobbed all day!
I don't eat cereal now because I'm calorie counting and if I was let loose I'd have no cals left for any other meal Grin but anything coated in sugar is a win. Frosties, frosted shreddies... failing that, cornflakes or rice krispies with a spoonful of sugar (and I wonder why I got fat Grin)

Weetos!

OhWhyNot · 08/03/2021 22:37

Rice Krispies had them for tea tonight (never eat cereal in the morning it’s so much nicer at night)

Granola one without any fruit or bird seed

Alpen sugar free

Can I have two please, frosted shreddies and chocolate mini weetabix, yum! 😋

FangsForTheMemory · 08/03/2021 22:38

Porridge. Also Kellogg’s Fruit n Fibre.

FangsForTheMemory · 08/03/2021 22:43

Does anyone remember Sugar Stars? They came out in about 1970 and were only around for a year or two. They were more like sweets than breakfast cereal.

AnnaSW1 · 08/03/2021 22:51

Shreddies

jelly79 · 08/03/2021 22:57

I love making granola (super easy and smells so nice)

I'm eating porridge most mornings now and I love it! (Used to dip toast in it)

BananaHammock23 · 08/03/2021 23:06

Curiously Cinnamon (the new Cinnamon Graham's!)

catpoooffender · 08/03/2021 23:13

Currently, Quaker Oat raisin granola. I went through a phase of being obsessed with the Co-op fancy salted toffee and pecan granola but find it a little too sweet now.

They used to do caramel and and nuts crunchy nut clusters, which were insanely good.

Blueberries0112 · 08/03/2021 23:14

Kellogg’s Special K Chocolatey Delight Chocolate Cereal and reese cup cereal

LongIslandIcedT · 08/03/2021 23:42

Crunchy nut cornflakes are the best cereal, hands down. I put the milk in first as I hate soggy flakes, DH is appalled at this.

moonriverandme · 08/03/2021 23:47

Mark's and Spencer Strawberry and Almond Crunch or Berry and Orange granola think it is, I recognise it by the packaging. They are the only cereals I have ever been able to eat as they don't go soggy and mushy.

PointlessUsername · 09/03/2021 00:17

Fruit & fibre
Just discovered strawberry coco pops. Not usually keen on strawberry ,but they are nice

LoveFall · 21/03/2021 23:42

This thread made me remember my Mum used to put some butter and brown sugar on top of the large sized Shredded Wheat and put it under the broiler. Served with hot milk. Delicious memory.
