...or items?

Mine have been:

  1. A large transparent command hook that I put on the side of a chest of drawers to hang my hairdryer on (I tried lots of other sticky hooks before but that was the only one that actually worked)
  1. Buying all the same clothes hangers so DD's clothes look tidier
  1. A large kitchen sink tidier which has instantly made the kitchen side less messy

I am on a constant mission to improve our living spaces, so AIBU to ask what yours have been?

Gaming headset for my son so he can chat with friends
Wireless EarPods
Banneton for my sourdough bread
Lots of flour

Ileflottante · 18/02/2021 19:12

@Chunkymenrock

Lovely fleece liners and fleece tunnels for my guinea pigs.
Oh that’s adorable. Any pictures?
zigzagbetty · 18/02/2021 19:13

@CallforHecate

A kneeling chair for working - couldn’t have managed the last year in a normal office chair. So much better for my posture. And a Sodastream Blush - fizzy water whenever I want! Luxury!
Which chair did you get? I've been trying to decide on one of these since lockdown #1.
PandaPacer · 18/02/2021 19:13

Sandwich toaster press thing for the endless teenage boy toasties. Can't believe we ever lived without it, but I guess they weren't ever home that much.

OrangeSamphire · 18/02/2021 19:14

A portable second screen for my MacBook

A large coffee percolator

A new kitchen

Les Mills on demand subscription

An Xbox

A house on half an acre, some chickens, and an embarrassingly large stash of seeds Grin
You win - and I'm incredibly jealous!

Hope it is as wonderful as it sounds

makingmiracles · 18/02/2021 19:17

A multi usb charger with 4 ports so multiple devices can be charged simultaneously

A Bluetooth keyboard for my iPad mini so its like a mini laptop and typing is so much quicker and easier

A new freezer, slightly bigger than a square chest one but not massive and a new 10kg washing machine, just 3kg extra makes so much difference and the times are 40mins quicker than my old machine

LynetteScavo · 18/02/2021 19:17

I never belobe the Peloton posts on MN - I always think they're posted by paid influencers Grin

I do live my slow masticating juicer. I bought it to help me loose lockdown gained weight. It hasn't resulted in any weight loss, but I'm enjoying lots of freshly squeezed juice.

loveyouradvice · 18/02/2021 19:18

Me....

Furlined leggings kept me superwarm in lockdown 1

New fleece throws and hot water bottles for having friends to supper outside in November!

Britbox subscription

Yoga "socks" ... with non slip soles - use them for wandering around the house over socks and keep my toes WARM

A Hush onesie and PJs ... so so cosy and happy to say hello to friends at the door in them

Yet to get.... waterproof leggings, great boots and a great coat ... Yes I do need them and my wet cold feet are ongoing proof of that!

CoisFarraige · 18/02/2021 19:18

Over the past year, I bought a Eufy robot hoover (I will never be without one of these again); an Ooni pizza oven (long waiting list so only got to use it a few times before the winter - was excellent but need more practice) and finally a projector & screen (no cute name (about 60 quid) so we have 'home cinema' nights with the teenagers. We hook it up to the Xbox so they can play games on big screen too when it's up. It's a bit if a faff getting it up and running each time but we have it down to a fine art now.

Notgoingouttoday · 18/02/2021 19:18

Several pairs of leggings with a phone pocket - have been living in them since WFH.

Your lidded drink reminds me of another really useful thing I bought:

www.couchcoaster.com/

DH loves it, no more trying to find a book to rest his drink on that I'm not having a fit he's using as a coaster!![/quote]
I adore you and have purchased 2 Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 18/02/2021 19:20

@Msfoxy17 It’s no hassle to unload, I can do half of mine waiting for a kettle to boil. I suspect people who moan are just inefficient generally 🤨.

Soup maker.
Just ordered a kobo.

Microfibre gloves for dusting off amazon.

missingeu · 18/02/2021 19:20

Earplugs
Magnesium powder for sleep
hammock
apple TV fitness
waterproof socks

Purplecatshopaholic · 18/02/2021 19:20

Slim leg joggers (numerous) look almost presentable so feel less slobby - feel much better about myself as a result. Fleece insoles for the dog walking boots.

NoProblem123 · 18/02/2021 19:21

The BorrowBox app which was completely free !
While my library is closed I can order books straight to that. It’s converted me to audio books which I can play all day long, especially when I’m meant to be in tedious work meetings. I’m literally ‘booked’ up until the autumn Grin

1Morewineplease · 18/02/2021 19:21

@FossilisedFanny

A rubber broom- dd and I have long hair and I’m astonished at how much it picks up even after vacuuming.
Yes! A brilliant purchase DD and I have long hair plus we have a golden retriever. It's astonishing how much hair there is on the floor!
FangsForTheMemory · 18/02/2021 19:22

A house. I actually bought it between lockdowns but I really pushed the purchase through because I could see we were heading for another. I was in temporary accommodation for months and it was horrible and would have been even worse if I'd been stuck there in lockdown.

Sunnydayhere · 18/02/2021 19:22

Not a purchase but I acquired old pallets.

Result lots of birdboxes. However delivering them is a problem.

XenoBitch · 18/02/2021 19:23

A virtual reality headset

Totaldick · 18/02/2021 19:23

Gin

myusernamewastakenbyme · 18/02/2021 19:26

Mine is also a heated throw...i cant tolerate the cold at all....also lots of cider.

crummyusername · 18/02/2021 19:28

Soda stream machine. I only really like fizzy water not plain but felt guilty buying bottles because of all the plastic, and half of it went flat anyway. So now I can have as much as I want whenever I want, and I’m actually drinking more water (alongside the endless cups of tea, obvs).
