Depends where you buy from Confused

Backtoreality1 · 29/01/2021 09:37

Depends where you get it from.....my local greengrocers, a couple of quid, more in a supermarket, and even more in somewhere like Waitrose etc. WHY????

Wiredforsound · 29/01/2021 09:38

About £2-£4 depending on where you bought them and their size.

Squeejit · 29/01/2021 09:38

I’d guess about £1.50? Depends where you shop.

Why do you ask?

Chemenger · 29/01/2021 09:38

£2.50. But it depends where you are buying them.

sugarcherry · 29/01/2021 09:39

£1 maximum

Godimabitch · 29/01/2021 09:39

2 or 3 quid?

Wenolikeexplodeythings · 29/01/2021 09:40

Lemons about 40p each, orange about 60p each and the cabbage could be like, £1.50 or £2. Or they could he double that if you were somewhere fancy.

Wenolikeexplodeythings · 29/01/2021 09:41

@sugarcherry

Where do you shop that those things average out as 25p each?

nimbuscloud · 29/01/2021 09:42

Aldi - about £2
M&S - about £5

EugenesAxe · 29/01/2021 09:42

About £3.50?

lughnasadh · 29/01/2021 09:43

Well our bog standard high street green grocer charges £2.50 for an ordinary, in season, green cabbage. After being stung for that, I dread to think what a blood orande would cost.

And then the local rag runs pieces every month bemoaning the dearth of shoppers using local shops.

Winterpaw · 29/01/2021 09:43

Approx 2 pounds

TardisThroughTime · 29/01/2021 09:44

I’m saying £2.30

LegendDairy · 29/01/2021 09:45

£2.20

ButterflyOfFreedom · 29/01/2021 09:49

Depends where you shop but I go to Aldi and those items would probably cost me about £2 max.

SchrodingersImmigrant · 29/01/2021 09:52

Is this some weird food parcel value vs real value diss?

movingonup20 · 29/01/2021 09:59

£1.50 Newfoundland Dh

movingonup20 · 29/01/2021 10:00

?? Ish!

BarbaraofSeville · 29/01/2021 10:03

25 - 50 p for the lemons, slightly more for the orange and the cabbage, 39 p to £2 depending on whether it's on the Aldi super 6, or a fancy looking one in Waitrose or a posh green grocers.

Em308 · 29/01/2021 10:06

Sainsbury’s cabbage 80p, lemons 30p each, orange 50p - so that’s £1.90

ODFOx · 29/01/2021 10:09

In Tesco about £2 if it's a Savoy cabbage and standard not special lemons.
No idea elsewhere: I once took a beef tomato to the till in Waitrose and was mortified when she weighed it and asked for £2.73. Too embarrassed to say no thanks! I used it as a show tomato around the house for a couple of days before eating it. Smile

grapefruitish · 29/01/2021 10:09

From ocardo with organic lemons that's £3.37.

SchrodingersImmigrant · 29/01/2021 10:13

Depends on a cabbage anyway.
White cabbage, green cabbage, red cabbage, turkish cabbage, chinese/napa cabbage, sweetheart cabbage, savoy cabbage, bok choy (yup a cabbage), sprouts are practically cabbage, kale... And another 300 varieties😁

Ikora · 29/01/2021 10:15

About £2

Laughing at show tomato.
