How much should that be?

OP posts:
davidsSchitt · 29/01/2021 10:15

£1.78

HPLikecraft · 29/01/2021 10:16

£2 - £2.50

bravotango · 29/01/2021 10:24

£1.90

WithinAForestDark · 29/01/2021 10:26

Probably around £45 unless you go to Lidl or Aldi then it'll come in at around £30. Doesn't everyone know this?

Frownette · 29/01/2021 10:27

£1.80. I hope the beef tomato was very fine, @ODFOx. They do look tempting.

Plussizejumpsuit · 29/01/2021 10:30

@ODFOx

In Tesco about £2 if it's a Savoy cabbage and standard not special lemons. No idea elsewhere: I once took a beef tomato to the till in Waitrose and was mortified when she weighed it and asked for £2.73. Too embarrassed to say no thanks! I used it as a show tomato around the house for a couple of days before eating it. Smile
Hahah! Well for that money it needs to be dual use
BigMamaFratelli · 29/01/2021 10:30

£2.80?

BarbaraofSeville · 29/01/2021 10:32

Lidl have cabbages and blood oranges as part of their cheap fruit and veg offer this week.

Cabbage 35 p, 4 blood oranges for 99 p, lemons would be priced as normal, so it might all come in at around a pound for the selection mentioned in the OP.

The mention of the show tomato has reminded me that the doctor that was on BBC Breakfast in the 'how are we doing with covid' this morning had what appeared to be a decorative pineapple behind her. I wonder if she is a Mumsnetter?

Misandrylovescompany · 29/01/2021 10:32

Show tomato Grin

LakieLady · 29/01/2021 10:33

YABVU to have made me really fancy a blood orange now!

And I only have tangerines in the house.

TierFourTears · 29/01/2021 10:33

Well, I'd buy a net of 4 lemons for 54p in Tesco, an orange for 30p because we never get blood oranges here, and a cabbage is about 50p.
So £1.34. Change from £2 if you found a blood orange.

SheldonesqueIsUnwell · 29/01/2021 10:37

I have blood oranges (smug)

I bought similar at the weekend. Less than £2.

Coffeeandaride · 29/01/2021 10:38

£2.50 ish

GameSetMatch · 29/01/2021 10:45

Lemon 59p each
Orange 89p each
Cabbage 80p each

GreenSlide · 29/01/2021 10:46

£2.30

CriticalWoman · 29/01/2021 11:03

I thought you were asking for a recipe. That would be the basis for a delicious slaw.

Pukkatea · 29/01/2021 11:07

I think that would be about £2 at sainsburys, maybe a bit more.

Plussizejumpsuit · 29/01/2021 11:16

Also where has blood oranges now? We love them but they aren't always in the shops even when in season

sleepyhead · 29/01/2021 11:18

Lemons are 30p in Tesco = 60p
Blood oranges are more expensive, but for one I can't imaging it'll be more than 50p.
A cabbage - at this time of year normally on offer, so maybe £1.

I'd say £2.10

FelicityPike · 29/01/2021 11:19

£2.50-ish

HeronLanyon · 29/01/2021 11:21

I’m guessing that should be 1.20-1.50. In reality I have no idea - never bought such a selection without loads of other things.

x2boys · 29/01/2021 11:27

A couple of quid I reckon from my local market ,is this Ready ,Steady Cook?

peaches99 · 29/01/2021 11:28

Ocado has blood oranges!

SheldonesqueIsUnwell · 29/01/2021 11:31

@Plussizejumpsuit

Currently in Marks and Lidl by us.

Both lovely but the Marks one had the edge. I’m a picky bugger when it comes to blood oranges.

MaelyssQ · 29/01/2021 11:33

I have some blood orange gin, it was fifteen quid in Tesco using my clubcard.
