How much should that be?

OP posts:
TillyTopper · 29/01/2021 11:37

1 Lemon: 45 p
2 Blood Orange: £2.89
1 cabbage (roots of Kimchi): £7.99

£11.33 from Planet Organic

x2boys · 29/01/2021 11:37

I have had some blood orange gin from Asda it was lovely it was also about £15 , incidentally Aldi do a very nice Seville orange and lemon gin 🤣

SchrodingersImmigrant · 29/01/2021 11:38

Will we ever hear why this question? I am curious now

BabyMoonPie · 29/01/2021 11:40

1374 grams (assuming they are all large specimens)

ForeverBubblegum · 29/01/2021 11:41

£2-3, it depends on the cabbage, I've seen them range from 30p-£2. The lemons and orange are about 50p each.

iklboo · 29/01/2021 11:46

I thought this was a set up for a joke Grin

Probably £2 - £2.50

Nonamesavail · 29/01/2021 11:50

£3 maximum

HeronLanyon · 29/01/2021 11:52

‘Cabbage said is it bitter out then?’
Or
‘Cabbage said ‘where’s Pam then?’

mrsm43s · 29/01/2021 12:03

A couple of quid. Why?

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 29/01/2021 12:04

Ooo are blood oranges out? (Point missed) they were a bloody (sorry) fortune last year, about 2.50 to 3.00 a bag, so dread to think how much this year.

SheldonesqueIsUnwell · 29/01/2021 12:06

The oranges at marks are about that fuckery but it was 2 bags for £4 when I went. Smile

Lockdownlumpy · 29/01/2021 12:21

Well in Aldi this morning
savoy cabbage 39p,
Net of 4 blood oranges £1.09
Net of unwaxed lemons 75p

So £2.23 plus you've got some spare oranges and lemons.
From the greengrocer where I used to live you'd have paid 20p each for an orange and a lemon, and about 60-80p for the cabbage.

SwedishK · 29/01/2021 12:23

From regular supermarket, about £1.80-£2. From Planet Organic, about £8.

TheCoolNightAirLikeShalimar2 · 29/01/2021 12:27

If I'm honest I'd have to say that it is really hard to say if OP is being unreasonable or not.

FlumpetCrumpet · 29/01/2021 12:28

£3.80

ThatIsNotMyUsername · 29/01/2021 12:29

Is this a recipe?

SheldonesqueIsUnwell · 29/01/2021 12:33

OP has clearly gone back to the shop for a refund...

Either that or they have a produce cost fetish and are going to watch all the prices being bandied about and then make questionable use of a melon. (£1.85)

LetItGoGo · 29/01/2021 12:35

C'mon op.

Clevererthanyou · 29/01/2021 12:42

It’s £1.09 in ASDA for the exact items and no spares. Savoy is on rollback at 49p.

KrisAkabusi · 29/01/2021 12:47

C'mon OP. You've had over three hours now. Why are you asking?

intheenddoesitreallymatter · 29/01/2021 12:49

A lemon is what? 35p.

A blood orange more - maybe 70.

A cabbage around here is £1.50.

£2.90 so call it £3-£4 depending where you shop?

Frodont · 29/01/2021 12:50

About 2.50/3

SheldonesqueIsUnwell · 29/01/2021 13:03

I have a feeling we may be about to be chastised for buying blood oranges when normal ones will do and lemons when a squeezy lemon would be more frugal. Perhaps we should be having grass instead of cabbage.

I hope your melon was accommodating Grin.

Mydogisagentleman · 29/01/2021 13:07

I just need to know the reason

ZeroFuchsGiven · 29/01/2021 13:19

What a strange thread for op not to return to.
