Couple of friends posted this on Fb, in what way could it be a social experiment and why?

OhWhyNot · 19/12/2020 19:46

Because they have been smoking too much weed ?

SantasBritchesSpelleas · 19/12/2020 19:46

It could be a social experiment in the same way the earth could be flat and the Queen could be a lizard in disguise.

GeorgeMichaelsEspadrille · 19/12/2020 19:47

Are you really taking these suggestions seriously OP?

NerrSnerr · 19/12/2020 19:49

Who is running this social experiment? How have they managed to get all the world leaders- even from countries that hate each other to comply? Why would so many countries choose to wreck their economies for a social experiment?

If you've considered it enough to post on here the above must have crossed your mind?

doctorhamster · 19/12/2020 19:50

They're on glue?

Tearsfortiers · 19/12/2020 19:51

They're idiots!

Vinnipeg · 19/12/2020 19:51

Yeah when I was in a store a week or so ago somebody was swearing blind to checkout staff that Boris, Merkel and some other world leaders were, at that very moment, doing a joint live press conference announcing that it had all been a social expirement. He insisted he'd been watching it.

There are a lot of delusional people out there right now.

SantasAnus · 19/12/2020 19:53

@OhWhyNot

Because they have been smoking too much weed ?
Yep
Averyshinynose · 19/12/2020 19:57

God no, def not weed smokers. Just curious what they meant but really didn’t want to comment and enter into it all with them

OP posts:
Merryoldgoat · 19/12/2020 19:58

In seeing who’ll remain on their friend list after their display of such idiocy?

Ffsnosexallowed · 19/12/2020 19:59

Spend a day in any hospital and then decide whether its a social experiment.

Averyshinynose · 19/12/2020 20:12

@Ffsnosexallowed I’m questioning why they said it and what angle they’re coming at.
I had covid in March and am still suffering fairly badly during points in my monthly cycle, I’m aware how awful it is, I was wondering what they meant exactly

Every system of government and laws are experiments ... if you mean this is a coordinated effort just for shits and giggles - doubt it.

It's cruel and an over reaction to a mild virus, I think we will look back in years to come and realise that

MojoMoon · 19/12/2020 20:17

What hypothesis is this social experiment supposed to be testing?

Nunoftheother · 19/12/2020 20:19

A social experiment to see how people react to new rules/laws being imposed which impinge on their civil liberties. And/or to show how/whether people alter their behaviour for the benefit of others, even though it may prove to be inconvenient or disadvantageous to them.

NoddyWithAVoddy · 19/12/2020 20:21

Bill, is that you?

BadTattoosAndSmellLikeBooze · 19/12/2020 20:22

I can’t believe there are actually people still saying this. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Averyshinynose · 19/12/2020 20:22

@MojoMoon I’m not sure, that’s why I’m
asking. I don’t really want to go into it with them in case I get some bizarre answers

OP posts:
Averyshinynose · 19/12/2020 20:38

Oh ok, just read some of the comments..in obedience..but why 🤷🏻‍♀️

OP posts:
TragedyHands · 19/12/2020 20:38

I think they are making a social experiment out of it, tbh.
Doesn't mean that the virus doesn't exist, but I don't buy that the gov have handled it badly as a reason we are in this shit show.
They know exactly what they are doing.

Averyshinynose · 19/12/2020 20:39

@TragedyHands But for what reason?

People are going crazy right now, the mental health problems might be with some of these people for life.

blacksax · 19/12/2020 20:43

Do you know, it never ceases to amaze me just how many utter fuckwits there are on this planet.

Warsawa31 · 19/12/2020 20:45

@BadTattoosAndSmellLikeBooze

Plenty of us actually ... sorry for having an opinion you don't like. We still have that freedom to at least voice our disagreement with it.

365 people under 65 with no underlying health conditions dead "with" covid since February average age of covid death is 82 U.K. life expectancy is 81.7 years.

One million people lost their jobs - plenty more when furlough ends. Bad flu season in 2018 killed around 50k people - no one gave a shit then - no lockdowns or Christmas cancelled was there ?
