Pajama bottoms with backside seams are unhygenic

Fangtiger · 18/12/2020 11:10

Am I the only person who has a problem with the backside seam on pajama bottoms? The seam goes up my bum so I end up wearing night time knickers underneath to stop that happening and to stop having to wash my pjs every day. Do pj bottoms without a backside seam exist? Someone told me M&S had some, but can't find them.

@snookercue But wearing knickers is not unhygienic. Not in the slightest. Not at all. Why do you think it is? thrush etc your vagina is warm and moist the perfect breeding ground for bacteria.

shamalidacdak · 18/12/2020 18:04

Lol this is hilarious. What the hell are night time knickers?!

@SunsetBeetch

They do - but only in horror films

My vagina is warm and moist for other reasons.

It’s cheesetastic after two hours - let alone 12 that’s a ‘my shit don’t stank’ attitude right there 😷

Reading this thread, I am fanning myself with my complementary Waitrose calendar, clutching my pearls and my G&T has gone down the wrong hole.

When I were a lass, it was called 'airing one's difference'.

Tangledtresses · 18/12/2020 18:14

@Cokearama

My mum was the opposite. She always made us wear pants in bed with our nighties, something to do with worms.
Omg my mum was the same! I've always worn my pants in bed! no pjs though too hot and stuffy
SnapAndFartAllDayLong · 18/12/2020 18:18

I can't wear onesies as they buttmunch me so bad 😭😭 I've tried loads of different styles too. I must have a long torso 🤨🤨

NotMeNoNo · 18/12/2020 18:25

Due to the shape of a human, it's impossible to make trousers without a crotch seam. Unless you have harem pants with loads of low slung draped fabric.

Noidontwantmootard · 18/12/2020 18:29

This has made me laugh 😂
Still undecided about covering or thy arse in bed or not.
But yeah, hungry arses have clothes too small.

The wrong hole is a phrase that shouldn’t be used on an arsecrack thread Grin

Naked sleeping all the way. My undercarriage likes a good airing!

(Am reminded of the wizard in Harry Potter who refused to put on trousers when dressing as a Muggle, "I like a nice healthy breeze around my privates!")

ComDummings · 18/12/2020 18:44

Personally I think a bare ass attracts monsters in the night, not fresh air to my fanny (in my head id need my legs in stirrups to get it aired properly).

😂 true!

doadeer · 18/12/2020 18:45

Pj bottoms always ride up my bum. Even if I had 3x size. Everything rides up on me. My DH laughs it's about the shape of my bum. I never actually wear Pj bottoms as I would get too hot I wear a silky nightie and no knickers. Lots of breathing here! I actually don't like wearing knickers so any excuse lot to 🤣

eaglejulesk · 18/12/2020 18:53

Why on earth would you change your pants to go to bed???

I thought I was the only one wondering about that - I've never heard of such a thing.

Those of you banging on about "airing" your nether regions - why don't you read the thread fully, there are numerous pp saying they wear pants at night and don't suffer from thrush. I've worn pants under PJs for most of my 61 years and have never had thrush. Amazed at those who always sleep naked - that's all very well if you are sharing a bed, but if you sleep alone and live in a cold NZ house you would freeze to death overnight in winter Smile

HavelockVetinari · 18/12/2020 18:54

Anyone whose arse is eating their pants is wearing the wrong size. If your "normal" size is in stretchy clothes then it's not your real size, you need to measure with a tape measure or tailored clothing.

nevernotstruggling · 18/12/2020 19:01

Here we go you “ panty” wearers .... particularly the jackass “hurling”.

Yawn.

SirSamuelVimes · 18/12/2020 19:02

Two words: Electric blanket.

I don't like electric blankets (I knew someone who was a fire safety officer, he put me off them decades ago). Hot water bottles all the way!

lockeddownandcrazy · 18/12/2020 19:20

@CrotchBurn "...a massive drip feed"

:-) in the context of a conversation about skiddy pj's

Hellzbellz25 · 18/12/2020 19:20

I'm stunned that people wear pj's more than once without washing them Shock honestly didn't realise this was even a thing!

MrsGrindah · 18/12/2020 19:23

@Hellzbellz25 but aren’t you CONSTANTLY washing PJs?

midnightstar66 · 18/12/2020 19:23

Well whatever goes against your bare bum needs washed after each wear - be that pants or pyjamas, jeans, joggers - pants are there to negate the need for washing each time. If you don't wear them then you need to wash the clothing!

Hellzbellz25 · 18/12/2020 19:26

@MrsGrindah it's just what I've always done, my 8yo dd has always had fresh ones every night too, I've always put pjs in the same category as underwear and it's never occurred to me otherwise, this thread has definitely made me think though I may need to change my ways!
