It doesn't have to be specific to these materials, but more so the colour of the jewellery.
Incredibly bored and browsing clothes, bags and jewellery of which I can never afford, and I can't decide what I prefer for myself!

Definitely silver

HavelockVetinari · 25/11/2020 21:00

It depends on your colouring and skin tone - most people suit one more than the other. I suit gold more, it's unfortunate due to cost but on the plus side it doesn't tarnish and keeps its value.

Mistymonday · 25/11/2020 21:00

Silver 100%

keeprocking · 25/11/2020 21:00

Silver or preferably platinum.

stayingaliveisawayoflife · 25/11/2020 21:00

Silver definitely! The only gold is my wedding and engagement ring and I have tons of silver.

Silver.uk is a fab website and I have bought loads from there at a good price.

Pipandmum · 25/11/2020 21:00

Silver. My wedding and engagement rings are platinum (so silver in colour).

thirstyformore · 25/11/2020 21:00

I prefer silver and thankfully when I had my colours done I was told to wear silver rather than gold.

Fudgsicles · 25/11/2020 21:01

Gold. Everything silved I've had seems to tarnish. Never had that with gold. Plus gold doesn't irritate my ears when silver does everntually.

SliceOfBlueberryPieForYou · 25/11/2020 21:02

I like old gold. My sister adapted a couple of DMs rings for her wedding and engagement rings and they look lovely.

I have another of her rings to pass down to my daughter eventually.

Silver is easier to wear day to day.

MyNameForToday1980 · 25/11/2020 21:02

Gold.

It just works better in my skin tone.

Most of my best jewellery (wedding ring, engagement ring, eternity ring, necklace I wear all the time) is rose gold.

Showers3 · 25/11/2020 21:02

Silver

formerbabe · 25/11/2020 21:03

Gold

jennie0412 · 25/11/2020 21:03

I have two bracelets on, one silver and one gold.
I love both but I seriously can't decide what suits me better!
Interesting that silver is the most popular so far!

I prefer yellow gold. Have tried to wear silver/white gold but it never feels like it looks as good. No idea whether it actually suits me better though. I’m white skinned but quite olive-y, tan easily with brown hair and eyes. I’d be interested to know what other people’s colouring is who also prefer gold. Luckily I only like small jewellery (thin chains with small pendants, small studs and my wedding ring is about a mm thin) so that helps keep the cost down.

MacavityTheDentistsCat · 25/11/2020 21:09

Silver. It makes my skin light up whereas gold makes me look sallow.

jennie0412 · 25/11/2020 21:09

Just looked it up, apparently cool tones suit white gold and silver better, warm tones suit gold!
Now this begs the question...
What on earth am I?!

Gold. My wedding and engagement (emerald, I don't think they 'go' with silver) rings are 22ct but I had them 'brushed' so they were mat in appearance. I have a pair of gold studs made the same way. I also have a medium sized pair of hooped gold earrings. It's all the jewellery I wear.
