It doesn't have to be specific to these materials, but more so the colour of the jewellery.
Incredibly bored and browsing clothes, bags and jewellery of which I can never afford, and I can't decide what I prefer for myself!

People saying silver tarnishes - I agee it can do if you don't wear it often, but I find wearing it all the time helps prevent tarnish. The only jewellery I take off are my earrings, the rest stays on. Having said that, I do have other silver jewellery I rarely wear and it hasn't tarnished (just checked).

I have gold pieces I love and I have white gold/silver pieces I love as well. With gold - a lot depends on the carat - most of what I wear is 18 ct though have 9 and 22 as well. Two of my favourite pieces are a mixture of white, yellow and rose gold.

Gold is much more fashionable right now, so if you’re looking for jewelry to wear with existing outfits, I’d go for gold. Some golds are more of a ‘clean’ shade than others, so if you’re more of a winter colouring, go for a cleaner version of it, and if you’re more of an autumn, maybe a richer gold suits you better.

Silver/white gold/pearls for me!

The only gold jewellery I own is stuff handed down from family members. Silver is much more flattering on my skin tone.
