It doesn't have to be specific to these materials, but more so the colour of the jewellery.
Incredibly bored and browsing clothes, bags and jewellery of which I can never afford, and I can't decide what I prefer for myself!

I just looked it up too. Apparently if your veins look blue you’re cool toned, but if they look more green and you tan easily you’re warm toned....

jennie0412 · 25/11/2020 21:12

I have blue veins but tan easily... HmmConfusedGrin

Silver

Standandwait · 25/11/2020 21:15

Gold here. Suits my skin tones and clothing choices better. Plus I like the colour better.
Sadly silver jewellery is often more interesting in design, probably because the cheaper material allows for younger designers and buyers and is less of a commitment?

Fluffybutter · 25/11/2020 21:16

Silver . Used to like gold in my teens but haven’t worn it since then .

Palmtree3 · 25/11/2020 21:18

Silver.

DelphineWalsh · 25/11/2020 21:19

Silver usually but I have lovely two tone heart pendant which I love.

mynameiscalypso · 25/11/2020 21:22

I've always traditionally preferred silver and almost all my jewellery is silver; over the last year or so, I've got into gold and rose gold too. I wear all three (sometimes at the same time!). Don't really know or care which suits me best.

Evanna13 · 25/11/2020 21:23

Much prefer silver, luckily it suits me better too as I am cool toned.

caringcarer · 25/11/2020 21:24

Platinum or white gold. Wedding, engagement and eternity rings are all platinum so when I go out I wear white gold necklace and bracelet. I do have some nice yellow gold jewelry though, I just don't wear it much.

HikerBiker · 25/11/2020 21:24

Growing up, silver/platinum was always the more trendy/popular choice, and yellow gold was for grannies, I think that was ingrained in me Smile

However thinking about it now, I kind of wish I’d had a gold engagement ring as it would be something a bit different (can’t think of any friends with anything other than platinum), and the there would be more contrast against the diamond and my pale skin.

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 25/11/2020 21:25

I prefer gold, it matches my skin tone better. DH decided on white gold for our wedding rings so now all my jewellery is silver Confused

Wickerbaskets · 25/11/2020 21:25

Much prefer gold

Youarenothere · 25/11/2020 21:26

Gold, rose gold mainly. Love antique jewellery (only stuff I wear really) and it’s generally gold with lots of different coloured stones.

DanielRicciardosSmile · 25/11/2020 21:26

Silver. Gold looks bloody awful with my skin tone.

pinkyboots1 · 25/11/2020 21:28

Always silver for me, the only jewellery I wear now is a stainless steel quote bangle on each wrist. I never, ever take them off

Catlover77 · 25/11/2020 21:28

Silver all the way. As PP says yellow gold seems a bit grannyish.

toomuchfaster · 25/11/2020 21:31

Silver! My engagement ring and wedding ring are white gold and pretty much everything else is silver except for an inherited gold ring that I'm allergic to! Think it must have a mixture in the setting.

PerfidiousAlbion · 25/11/2020 21:31

Champaign gold - a sort of very pale light gold. I also like rose gold.

I've had my colours 'done' and I'm a blonde haired, grey/blue eyed Spring with warm light colouring so that's probably why I naturally gravitate towards warmer tones. They make my skin glow and it just looks harmonious.

I do have silver and platinum jewelry though from years ago and it always looks a bit grubby on me. I think it looks great on other people with cool toned skin though.

Mumtumwobble · 25/11/2020 21:31

I prefer gold and it suits me better. I do have some silver jewellery, but gold is definitely my favourite.

happysunr1se · 25/11/2020 21:32

I like yellow gold.

I used to only like silver when I was a teenager and early twenties, I think because I found yellow gold too traditional.

Now I find silver often looks dull and lifeless, whereas I think gold glows, especially higher karat gold.

I got given some 9999 gold, I have a necklace of interlinked solid gold beads I have worn everyday since my wedding, I think its gorgeous.

sanityisamyth · 25/11/2020 21:32

Silver. Gold looks quite dated to me.

Gurufloof · 25/11/2020 21:33

My veins are bluey green and I tan really easily. I love silver/platinum. Not that I have much jewellery mind.

damnthatanxiety · 25/11/2020 21:33

I like both. I have very neutral coloured skin. Maybe that's why they both suit me equally.

Groovinpeanut · 25/11/2020 21:36

I love old gold 😍 It suits my colouring thankfully. I find silver a bit cold and clinical for me personally.
