Why?
It's hardly frowned upon by Conservatives.

DianaT1969 · 20/11/2020 12:07

I'm not at all surprised.

EasttoWest · 20/11/2020 12:09

Because I was bullied by someone just like her and it’s just really infuriated me. I despise this government

Aye that's the rub.
Teaching boris a lesson with brexit has it's price.

Understandable and agreed, but I’m not surprised he has backed her.
EasttoWest · 20/11/2020 12:11

They tolerate so much. The ethics of this government - I’m embarrassed just sorry guys it’s really got to me.

Boris doesn’t sack anyone.

This is a terrible decision but not surprising at all.

viques · 20/11/2020 12:12

Well done Sir Alex. Can’t blame him though, must have been a lonely life being the only person advising the PM who had a moral compass and understood that values in public life apply to everyone, without exception.

My MP has posted on his Facebook page that she is 'quietly kind' and is delivering the things people in the constituency want. He mentions.more Police and tougher immigration policies.

BecomeStronger · 20/11/2020 12:16

In this whole thing makes me very uncomfortable. Obviously bullying cannot be tolerated but how many other politicians are known bullies but somehow it's a woman who's getting all the criticism and negative publicity for it.

In men, it's demanding, or driven or committed...

user1471565182 · 20/11/2020 12:17

Why is that vile person still anywhere near government after all shes done?

PlanDeRaccordement · 20/11/2020 12:18

I do wonder that if Patel were a man, there would be no accusations of bullying. A man would be admired for his “forceful personality” and “firm leadership”. It’s sad but true that many subordinates will accept a strong management style from a man but not from a woman and call her a bully, aggressive, etc.

Sirzy · 20/11/2020 12:18

I’m angry but at the same time not in the slightest bit surprised

user1471565182 · 20/11/2020 12:19

Yeah fuck the people shes bullied and the careers shes ruined cos shes a woman. Thats the sort of 'feminism' that seems to be taking over on here.

HotSince63 · 20/11/2020 12:19

You can't believe it, really? I'm not in the slightest bit surprised!

52andblue · 20/11/2020 12:20

PP is considered (by me) to be not especially bright, a bully, but is seemingly loyal to her man.
the 2nd opinion has just been proven correct.
BJ backs her (quelle suprise!) and the author of the report resigns.
But, hey PP is loyal to BJ so that's okay then...

I've no doubt that female bullies are given a harder time than males.

EasttoWest · 20/11/2020 12:20

The impact my bully had on me/my career altered my path. Irrevocably knocked my confidence - man or woman - it doesn’t matter. She needs to go.

When Biden finds out that Patel threatened to starve the Irish she’ll be picking up her P45.

I think you'd all be surprised what it's like to work with an uncooperative civil service. I wonder what it was like behind closed doors.

This too. I dislike her and her politics, but hearing behind the scenes stories her behaviour is typical of many white male politicians, in multiple parties, who seem to get away without an issue.

Still think she needs to see consequences, but any enquiry needs to look into the wider environment.

This is true, and have seen it at my workplace. None of us know the whole truth, of course, but Priti Patel is both a woman and an ethnic minority in a white male dominated work culture and I wonder if a white male behaving in exactly the same way would have had the same accusations.

None of this means I have any sympathy with her, mind you.

Please let's not paint Biden as a saint. He not only voted for the war on Iraq, he argued strongly in favor of the 2002 resolution granting Bush the authority to invade Iraq.
