I can’t believe PM has backed Patel! When she’s been found to be a bully I’m bloody furious!!!

Having said that...this is Boris innit...

Took month to take action on Cummings

So give it a couple of months OP it will be sorted

I just think it’s too convenient that an Asian woman is the first MP to be not only accused of bullying, but to have it be an issue large enough to make people demand she resign. Surely out of hundreds of MPs there are other bullies? Why is the first MP asked to resign for “bullying” in history of U.K. an Asian woman? It then is very suspicious when you view the sexist and racist stereotypes frequently applied to Asian women. You know, that we are submissive, conciliatory, unobtrusive, servile, etc.

Yes, I know PPs past is checkered with apparently corrupt practices and conflicts of interest but very few MPs have a clean past. I’d rather see PP and other MPs sacked for proven corruption than for something as subjective and unprovable as “bullying”

Ooooh - Sir Philp Rutnam says Priti WAS given feedback, repeatedly, about her behaviour affecting the welfare of her staff.

Lying cowbag.
sorry, lyin' cowbag

@52andblue

Ooooh - Sir Philp Rutnam says Priti WAS given feedback, repeatedly, about her behaviour affecting the welfare of her staff.

and yet the report says otherwise, are you saying Sir Alex Allen who investigated and has since resigned is lying?
52andblue · 20/11/2020 19:20

No.
I was just thinking of the headlines just now.
But maybe I misunderstood?

She is a liar though. And a bully.

Livelovebehappy · 20/11/2020 19:25

Politics has no morals sadly. They look after their own. Just look at how Corbyn has been reinstated, when he had clearly been found to be racist? Why bother having these investigations if nothing happens on the back of them.

ItsAlwaysSunnyOnMN · 20/11/2020 19:25

No YANBU to feel angry

Not surprised

Won’t harm her career this will be seen as her just exerting her authority by many and many see this sort of behaviour as positive in high level politics (on both right and left)

CrimsonCattery · 20/11/2020 19:30

Bercow was accused credibly of bullying and suffered various consequences (which may also be to do with being a 'disloyal' Tory) as was Gordon Brown. Both white men. Cummings was also accused publicly of bullying and at least one woman has had a settlement from it.

Patel wasn't just accused of bullying in the Home Office. Also at DfID and wherever else she was a Minister. She is an atrocious cunt.

I know various other current Ministers who are cunts to their staff.

Daphnise · 20/11/2020 19:35

I'm glad posters here seem to claim a very high level of knowledge of what actually went on, and have made their rush to judgement on such detailed knowledge.

Such superiority based on so little.....

PanamaPattie · 20/11/2020 19:37

Furious? Really?

roarfeckingroarr · 20/11/2020 20:17

@Hayeahnobut I'm sharing my experience and what I witnessed. People have it in for PP in a big way plus politics is a full on difficult place to work. Not everyone is suited to that.

AgeLikeWine · 20/11/2020 20:20

YABU.

Boris Johnson is, and has always been, a dishonest untrustworthy buffoon. So what do you expect? Integrity? If so, you’re naive.

FudgeBrownie2019 · 20/11/2020 20:24

There have been accusations of Boris' bullying for years, why is it therefore a surprise that he's backing a bully in his party? It's part of his moral code.

I'm not entirely convinced that PP is the only bully in the Tory party, though.

EasttoWest · 20/11/2020 22:04

‘Unintentional, not my intention’ to upset people... said PP

Unintentional or not she’s a bully.

I just think it’s too convenient that an Asian woman is the first MP to be not only accused of bullying, but to have it be an issue large enough to make people demand she resign.

Loads of MPs have faced calls to resign over allegations of bullying. It is preposterous to claim misogyny/racism in this case where, bullying has been investigated, proven and admitted, and those who ended up resigning were white men.

Stop using the real scourges of sexism and racism to excuse a powerful bully who is being backed and protected by the Prime Minister of the country.Angry Priti Patel is not the victim here.

TimeFlysWhenYoureHavingRum · 20/11/2020 23:28

I can understand PPs saying they are not surprised but please don't let this stop you being outraged by it. Weary resignation is not going to make things better. We all deserve better than this. This government is a disgrace.

10pennychews · 21/11/2020 01:05

Of course he did because he is a weak and pathetic person. Sooner he is gone the better.

user1471565182 · 21/11/2020 01:40

Can you imagine the wittering from conservatives if people tried to excuse a labour MP in a very, very high position of proven accusations by using her race and gender?

Heres something else to send your blood pressure mad. They're taking the fucking piss out of us and our money.

'NAO report revealed fast-track VIP lanes had been set up to allow little-known companies with political contracts to win lucrative PPE deals.''

Flatpackback · 21/11/2020 02:04

I’m surprised that many posters seem to think that being sworn at and shouted at by senior mangers is normal, acceptable behaviour and that it isn’t bullying. Its incredulous that a person accused of such behaviour would be surprised to learn they had upset someone. It’s even more astonishing that they think that because they weren’t told their behaviour was unacceptable, they weren’t aware of it. That’s the most shocking really, that she is so unaware of the impact of her behaviour that she thinks it’s fine because no one has apparently told her it isn’t.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 21/11/2020 04:15

"Boris doesn't sack anyone"

Well of course he doesn't. His c**k isn't gonna suck itself.

Wiredforsound · 21/11/2020 04:28

She’s another one who knows where the bodies are buried. She has a long track record of bullying and belittling, and she’s been called out on it not because of her ethnicity or gender, but because she’s been bullying and belittling. Stop making excuses and stop victim blaming. Patel, to her credit, has not used her ethnicity or gender as a reason to attack the veracity of the report, nor has she disputed the findings, so there’s no reason for anyone else to. However, the fact that Boris Johnson has condoned proven bullying at the highest echelons of government is a complete failure of leadership, values, and trust in government. He has effectively said, “We will not protect you. We will protect our own”.

Caeruleanblue · 21/11/2020 04:35

There's too much misogyny and racism around for me to join those demanding resignation. It is rife in society and parliament. She possibly needed to shout to get the mandarins to listen.

sophandbridge · 21/11/2020 04:49

I'm not surprised, I throughly expected him too 😡

laxxy · 21/11/2020 05:37

The UK civil service isn't uncooperative with Tories. It's uncooperative with the terminally stupid and incompetent.

Really?! I mean I'm no fan of PP or the Tories but my experience of working at the CS was it was full of people who were incompetent & so many inefficient processes.
