I know Biden's won the election and is the new president.

What is Trump up to though?

He keeps sacking people - what's he doing? Is he planning to start a civil war?

He is panicking!
No civil war just weeks of drivel on the news.

sst1234 · 11/11/2020 00:07

Civil war? You mean like in the 19th century when US abolished slavery? If not, then no, there isn’t going to be a civil war.

GroundAlmonds · 11/11/2020 00:09

What makes you ask that?

Toilenstripes · 11/11/2020 00:10

No, there’s not going to be a civil war. Ffs.

AlexaShutUp · 11/11/2020 00:11

I don't think there will actually be a civil war, but yanbu to think that his refusal to accept the result is very worrying.

The Obamas were so professional and dignified in the handover period, even though they must have been horrified at the thought of Trump in the Whitehouse. Sadly, we're going to get the complete opposite from Trump. It's going to be an interesting few weeks...

I was wondering, is there any posibility Trump could go Fuck you all and nuke China/Russia just for the hell of it in his final months when he is still president. Or are there protocols/checks and balances in place to stop a lame duck president doing that. I guess whoever carries the nuclear football would probably be like "nope".

  1. He is positioning himself to maintain power in the Republican Party by starting his own television station like Oprah Winfrey and Ted Turner,
He will financially support candidates who share his racist views. He will present himself as a true patriot.
  1. He will issue Presidential Pardons to all his friends and probably to himself so he will not stand trial for tax fraud and sexual assault.
  2. He and Melania will divorce.
Tessiot · 11/11/2020 00:47

Republicans will isolate him and his allies quickly and effectively. They need to rebuild and he is in the way.

99.9% of trump supporters that I have seen being interviewed on TV seem the type who are familiar with big guns and would definitely use them to get their own way, so I wouldn't be surprised if there were riots and fighting in some states.

Frownette · 11/11/2020 01:21

No

This is an odd statement. I'm not sure I've ever seen Trump supporters talking about guns, unless it was debates around the NRA etc. Or are you assuming that working class/rural Americans etc are 'the types who like big guns'. Isn't most gun crime in cities?

emilyfrost · 11/11/2020 01:23

Incorrect. It’s still just a projection at this point.

DickBastardly · 11/11/2020 01:52

I think people secretly want America to go into war and would be gleeful at the idea the way people keep banging on about it

AmICrazyorWhat2 · 11/11/2020 01:53

No. The election results have pluses for both Democrats and Republicans. Biden as a centrist president and both parties well represented in the House and Senate. Biden was talking about unity at a press conference earlier today, he wants to move past the horrible divisiveness of recent years.

My sense here on the East Coast is that most people are relieved and ready to get on with their lives.

It wouldn’t last long if there was one. One side has over 350 million guns and a trillion bullets. The other side doesn’t believe in gun ownership.

OVienna · 11/11/2020 02:06

Emily. You are wrong. The manner in which the election has been called has proceeded this year in the manner it always has. Step away from Parler.

PimpleMoose · 11/11/2020 02:21

I'm expecting violence at this point but I dont think it'll turn into a full-fledged civil war.

Something tells me the ‘liberal elite’ are probably better organised, and have more money, though. Wink
AmICrazyorWhat2 · 11/11/2020 02:38

@BritWifeinUSA. I live in a Democratic stronghold and unfortunately, there’s no shortage of gun crime here. ☹️

LordLancington · 11/11/2020 02:41

It's easy to cherry pick photos though. Most of the violence has come from the left so far it seems.

Here are some anti Trump supporters doing their thing...
