Maybe I’m being optimistic but I don’t think Perdue would win in a run-off
I really hope he wouldn’t- it would be monumental

Where’s the evidence to back up all these claims of non residents voting in Nevada?

BruceAndNosh · 05/11/2020 16:44

Which is largely true but feels like a Biden admin is already a failure before he's even elected

Doesn't matter, A bad Biden is still better than Trump

From what I've seen of Osoff (is that his name?!) he's really impressive. With the right backing I think he'd have a really good shot.

Marking the space.

@SabrinaThwaite

So actual evidence of fraud but arguing Mail ballots are inherently problematical and the numbers this year are suspiciously large.

Has he not noticed there’s a pandemic on?

Can imagine all these guys saying 'what POSSIBLE reason could there be for so many more postal votes than usual?' What a puzzler! Grin

Nevada result is expected at 5 pm UK time.

Arizona at 2 am UK time.

Georgia results expected on “Thursday”, so early hours in the UK.

Are you sure you haven't got Nevada and Georgia the wrong way round? Confused

BoreOfWhabylon · 05/11/2020 16:53

Saw this on another thread

As I understand it and I may not (probably don’t) have all the facts!

There was a “special senate” election for one seat between between Loeffler and Warnock that didn’t give either over 50% and now Perdue doesn’t have over 50% of vote either in the other seat so both seats will have to be contested again on Jan 5th.

This may explain the first special election better!

Thanks!

That clip of trump as Hitler is amazing - usually nazi references are overdone but the leadership style is appropriate to Trump!

BlueCatRedCat · 05/11/2020 17:02

Doesn't matter, A bad Biden is still better than Trump

Not sure I agree with this. Biden needs 4 senate seats to get a majority. Even with 2 special elections, that's going to be a tall order. A hamstrung Obama, unable to deliver the reform he had promised, resulted in good feelings towards him personally, but not much else that tangibly improved the lives of the worst off. So people - including huge numbers of Obama supporters - turned to a snake oil salesman in the form of Trump, leaving the Dems naval gazing for 4 years and unable to come up with an inspirational enough candidate and message to deliver a landslide in the face of the worst human being to ever hold the most powerful position in the world.

Trump won't go away, nor will his cult. He can still run in 2024, he will still be younger than Biden, and he seems to be sponsored by Duracell. Biden will inherit Trump's Covid mess, the situation is too out of control now for him to pull off a miracle. He will get blamed for the fallout, the deaths and the fucked economy - Trump will make sure he does. Trump out of power will just do rally after rally, increasing his cult following. And people will once again turn away from the Democrats when the 2022 Senate and Congressional elections are held. The Dems may well lose both houses again come 2022. Then when the 2024 Presidential election comes around, what state will they be in? It's a bloody shit show, whoever wins.

BoreOfWhabylon · 05/11/2020 17:03

Yes, painfully close to the real thing

SanFranBear · 05/11/2020 17:03

Biden up to 153 on the BBC - is that Nevada?

BoreOfWhabylon · 05/11/2020 17:04

I'm all in favour of mail in ballots but a deadline of a week after election day is too long. But them's the rules, so we have to wait

cantdothisnow1 · 05/11/2020 17:06

Wisconsin

Possibly down to being a tee-totaller?

A Pennsylvania court ruled that Trump campaign observers could stand closer to watch ballot processing in Philadelphia—a relatively inconsequential ruling that Trump campaign associates quickly touted as being a massive win. Votes that could decide the state are still being counted there.

No court has found wrongdoing in the ballot-counting process in Philadelphia.

“It allows their observers to stand a little closer, but it is not an order that will have any impact on the outcome of the election,” law professor and CNN elections analyst Franita Tolson said Thursday, noting that the decision was “not massive at all.”

SabrinaThwaite · 05/11/2020 17:17

Powered by Adderall rather than Duracell perhaps?

IDontMindMarmite · 05/11/2020 17:17

This whole process of releasing results before all the votes have been counted, is ridiculous. Everything changes all the time. It's turned this into reality TV. The cheesy dramatic music. It's not very credible.

Rick Hasen on twitter
Another big tell: no A-list lawyers signed up even to file a Supreme Court brief seeking intervention in the PA case.
No Mike Carvin, Ted Olson, Paul Clement, etc.
