To feel sorry for Trump?

I’ve name changed for this as I know I will get completely flamed. But AIBU to secretly feel a little bit sorry for Trump? He campaigned so hard for this election compared to Biden and seemed to put his absolute all into it.

The amount of hate he gets on social media is astounding - I honestly don’t know how one person can handle all that and keep on going. I would have had a nervous breakdown or worse by now if I was on the receiving end of that.

His kids clearly love him and they seem alright - perhaps he’s not so bad behind the scenes? I think losing this election will destroy him as a person and whilst I don’t agree with his political viewpoint, I can’t help but feel slightly sorry for the guy.

AIBU?

His wife clearly doesn't love him and his children merely want to attach themselves to his coattails so that they might have position in the future. There's no affection at all between him and his family.

Well if that is true (and I have no idea if it is or isn’t) then it’s very sad!

You sound nice OP Flowers

ktp100 · 04/11/2020 22:25

WTF are you on?!!

I do NOT want any, whatever it is.

laidbacklife · 04/11/2020 22:25

He is a narcissist. I wouldn’t say he put his all into the campaign at all. He just loves being the centre of attention and the sound of his own voice. He has precious little of any value to say but he cannot resist jumping on a platform and shouting. Thank the lord he was out of action for a few weeks and gave us all a break (plus helped bring about his own demise).
His children are on his payroll.

Roominmyhouse · 04/11/2020 22:25

He’s trying to completely undermine the democratic process! He’s racist, sexist and generally an all round horrible human being. No I do not think you should feel sorry for him.

firstimemamma · 04/11/2020 22:27

He's set on destroying the planet and I have a young child so no I do not feel sorry for him. Oh and the million other reasons previous posters have given.

liverbird10 · 04/11/2020 22:28

He's a fucking disgrace. Good riddance.

Adoptthisdogornot · 04/11/2020 22:29

Kids in cages because their parents dared to flee danger in their country of birth and dream of a better life. YABVVVU He s a callous monster

@user1481840227

I saw a video the other day where the interviewer asked people what they thought about certain Donald Trump quotes...after getting their responses about how awful and racist and blah blah he was the interviewer told them that they were in fact Joe Biden quotes and asked them did that change their opinion.

They said no lol

I don't think Biden is any way better than Trump and his touchy feeliness is horrible, especially with children, he makes them so uncomfortable!

Also he seems like he has dementia or something, will he even last 4 years as president?

No proper user name and a string of numbers. If we were on Twitter I would say you’re a bot.

Biden displays empathy and compassion. His ability to connect with people is what makes him human and in the countless videos of him interacting with people, including children, I’ve never seen signs of discomfort.

Trump is a monster. He has no empathy, no compassion, no sympathy, no kindness, no dignity, no integrity, no honesty, no gratitude.
He is a narcissistic, racist, bullying mysoginist. I hope he loses. I hope he finally gets his comeuppance for his lifetime of fraud and corruption once he can’t hide behind Presidential immunity.

Mrsmorton · 04/11/2020 22:30

Pahahahaha. Ahahahahahahah. Hhahahhhahaaa.

Ahhh. The first thing to make me laugh today. Thanks OP.

Krazynights34 · 04/11/2020 22:30

He put his all into “locker room” pussy grabbing too. Poor poor guy

teaandcustardcreamsx · 04/11/2020 22:32

YABVU Biscuit

He made a rod for his own back. Dug his own grave and he can rot in it.

EnolanotAlone · 04/11/2020 22:32

Trump is only concerned about Trump.
In all seriousness what has he achieved except divide a nation and tweet. What a twat. Next.

Feel sorry for the thousands of Americans getting covid with no health care.

GeorgiaGirl52 · 04/11/2020 22:32

Children in cages.

  • Blaming Covid on the Chinese.
  • Blaming Covid on the Democrats.
  • Denying that Covid was any more dangerous than flu.
  • Supporting the Proud Boys and the KKK as "fine Americans".
  • Claiming to be a Christian but not knowing what denomination he belongs to -- using a church as a photo op while waving an upside down Bible.
  • Three marriages.
  • Using his position as POTUS to get his third wife's parents into the US ahead of people who applied and waited legally.
  • Constant insults toward everyone who opposed him politically.
  • Irrational racist hatred of any non-white people.
  • Accused sex-pest and rapist.
  • Tax dodger.
  • Has anyone ever heard his son from his third wife speak? Ever?

Here's a few...and there are many more videos out there.

You're welcome!

Joolsin · 04/11/2020 22:33

Never! He is an awful excuse for a human being, I can't bear to listen to him and he is already showing what a sore loser he is. He's like a spoiled child tantrumming when he doesn't win pass the parcel at his birthday party. Joe Biden's speech this evening was a joy to listen to in comparison - measured, dignified, no ranting, no blustering, no boasting, no divisiveness. I don't think he's a brilliant candidate per se, but I could happily cope with 4 years of him and Harris.

jerometheturnipking · 04/11/2020 22:33

Well if that is true (and I have no idea if it is or isn’t) then it’s very sad!

Very sad, and yet entirely self inflicted through how he’s chosen to conduct his life.

Joolsin · 04/11/2020 22:34

Also, can't wait to see the back of Ivanka, Jared and all those nepotistic appointees!

Posteni1 · 04/11/2020 22:34

Wow.

Chickychickydodah · 04/11/2020 22:34

He’s a narcissistical liar.
Just nope 🤯

RedToothBrush · 04/11/2020 22:35

The idea that I should have sympathy for a man who has NEVER EVER done the same for anyone else and has walked over everyone he's ever met, is hilarous.

Watch his behaviour over the next week and tell me then whether you still have sympathy.

SpeccyLime · 04/11/2020 22:35

Don’t have empathy for an incredibly powerful and wealthy man who was unfit to hold office and should never have been elected at all.

Have empathy for the the women he has assaulted, the migrant children he has separated from their parents, the women facing loss of access to safe abortions, the gay men and women who can be fired for their sexuality, the black people who will be persecuted by the white supremacists he told to stand by, and the thousands who have died of Covid thanks to his scaremongering, conspiracies, and failure to act.

FrolickingLemon · 04/11/2020 22:35

YABVVU

You will also need to name change again after this thread. And also rethink your values.

stopgap · 04/11/2020 22:35

Hitler also gave it his all with speeches and helping the German economy thrive. What’s your point again, OP?
