Or is it against the rules?

In spirit, I don’t see the issue (we won’t be near other humans)

In letter, I am not sure, is it allowed or not this time around to rent a self contained accommodation?

Most holiday letting places near me are shutting from Thursday

myhobbyisouting · 01/11/2020 14:39

Which bit of "stay at home" confused you?

Lockheart · 01/11/2020 14:39

No, it's not allowed.

Nanny0gg · 01/11/2020 14:39

No unnecessary travel...

hibbledibble · 01/11/2020 14:40

It's not allowed, as you are only allowed to travel from your home for set necessary reasons. Going on holiday is not one of them

PurpleDaisies · 01/11/2020 14:41

From the new rules...
Hotels, hostels and other accommodation should only open for those who have to travel for work purposes and for a limited number of other exemptions which will be set out in law.

You can’t go.

Lcats · 01/11/2020 14:42

It would be sport related (we climb, but the place is too far to go without spending the night there)

OP posts:
Lockheart · 01/11/2020 14:43

It doesn't matter, you can't go and stay overnight somewhere that's not your home for the sake of sport.

MyChemicalMummy · 01/11/2020 14:43

Going away and staying in a second home, and going on holiday, are not allowed from Thursday.

Bargebill19 · 01/11/2020 14:43

Still a no, op. (Nice try).

I see Thank you! For the future, where did you find this?

Okay so for leisure rather than work. You can't go.

BefuddledPerson · 01/11/2020 14:44

Yes, it would be unreasonable, because you'd have to lie and say it was for work.

You are still not allowed to go! What part of stay at home do you not understand?
BeardieWeirdie · 01/11/2020 14:45

No unnecessary travel so you can only climb if you can walk in from your house.

That’s the reason to live in a place like Sheffield... 😔

Obviously it's a no.

emilyfrost · 01/11/2020 15:00

YABVU. Did you miss the very clear stay at home memo?

It's not an organised group sport though is it.

For goodness sake. You're not a special case. Stay at home.

If you like climbing, you can climb the walls like the rest of us.

JaJaDingDong · 01/11/2020 15:01

Someone will have to clean the place after you leave.
You might have an accident on the way there or back and use valuable resources should you end up in hospital.
You may become ill while you're away.
Stay at home
Save lives
Protect the NHS.

It's not all about you.

Tippexy · 01/11/2020 15:03

seriously???

Of course it's not allowed. The guidelines state, as has been said on other threads, that holidays abroad or in the UK are not allowed.
EternalOptimist7 · 01/11/2020 15:04

Seriously?! We’re in lockdown!

Dominicgoings · 01/11/2020 15:04

And we wonder why we’re fucked?
