Hi all
In a bit of shock but need some opinions!
So for the past few days ive had some leaking of colostrum type liquid both breasts, I'm 39 and have had 5 kids , new partner of 3 years no contraception ; he couldn't have children! Well after the leaking came these rolling movements in my upper abdomen between my belly bottom and my ribs on the right side , i videoed it to see if it was visible and it was ! I phoned the GP who was very dismissive and then said well just take a test, wouldn't see me to examine due to covid . Done a clearblue digital and it says pregnant 1 to 2
With the movement and leaking could I be further along? I have had light but regular periods for months I track them using the clue app. Thanks x

Congratulations! Could it be worth booking a private scan?

Justnotfeelingit · 29/10/2020 19:37

I’d say you are almost definitely further along if you can see movement! How do you feel about it?

browny1981 · 29/10/2020 19:38

My doctor has referred me for an ultrasound so will wait for that but I'm dreading going and them thinking I'm daft and being further along! I know its sounds silly but i thought I was going mad ive googled phantom pregnancy I had no idea !

Yeah I think digital tests only have the option of showing 1-2 or 2+ weeks or whatever, eg it won’t tell you you’re 9 weeks, 16 weeks etc. Congratulations!

browny1981 · 29/10/2020 19:40

It something we would always have liked but never thought possible, my DH had an op years ago plus low count and mobility so we just accepted that and got.on with it he's a fab step dad to my other children in just so shocked we never thought this day would come !

You could be further along. I would dilate your urine & see what the clear Blue digital says then.

BruthasTortoise · 29/10/2020 19:41

My understanding is that HcG levels can drop in the 2nd and 3rd trimester which may be why the clear blue is coming out at 1-2. Congratulations!

browny1981 · 29/10/2020 19:42

Ahhh should.i dilute it with tap water ? I have another test! I'll do it now lol im so anxious !

Exactly this.

I've no idea of the ins and outs but I'm just going to plonk myself here for the outcome Grin

Love these threads - congrats OP!

chasingshunshine · 29/10/2020 19:59

I'm not a doctor but I do know that your levels actually start to drop when you go further on in our pregnancy. Definitely worth telling the doctor you think you're further along as it is possible to have a low hormonal reading xx

Loobyloo71 · 29/10/2020 20:09

Gosh! I read about phantom pregnancies in awe because I get so sick during pregnancy that I could never not be aware! Congratulations OP - I’m placemarking for the update!

Wonderful news OP! Congratulations

Isn’t leaking a third trimester thing?

Napqueen1234 · 29/10/2020 20:32

Ooh OP please update us when you’ve had the scan! Fingers crossed all is well.

musicnotesand · 29/10/2020 20:48

Can I shamefully join to find out the outcome?! I'm intrigued! (Sorry if that's a bit much - I know this is your life!!)

YenneferOfBattenberg · 29/10/2020 20:52

I’m afraid I’m doing the same. Congratulations OP.
baffledcoconut · 29/10/2020 21:07

I’m here for the scan news.

2020 really is a weird old year isnt it.

QueenArseClangers · 29/10/2020 21:08

Have you tried palpating your tummy? If you press on your pubis symphysis and move upwards can you feel a hard ball?
I’m sure after 5DC you’ll know how to do this after all the fiddling about with pregnancy involves Smile

ChanklyBore · 29/10/2020 21:12

Good luck OP. I’ve found out quite late myself and it’s a rollercoaster. Fingers crossed it’s the outcome you want.

hedgehogger1 · 29/10/2020 21:12

I'm so intrigued. I knew someone who discovered they were pregnant part way through labour, and she was a very slim lady so I find these mystery pregnancies fascinating

ohidoliketobe · 29/10/2020 21:15

Congratulations OP, I thought I had a shock with discovering my surprise DC3 pregnancy at 9 weeks along last month Grin!
