Hi all
In a bit of shock but need some opinions!
So for the past few days ive had some leaking of colostrum type liquid both breasts, I'm 39 and have had 5 kids , new partner of 3 years no contraception ; he couldn't have children! Well after the leaking came these rolling movements in my upper abdomen between my belly bottom and my ribs on the right side , i videoed it to see if it was visible and it was ! I phoned the GP who was very dismissive and then said well just take a test, wouldn't see me to examine due to covid . Done a clearblue digital and it says pregnant 1 to 2
With the movement and leaking could I be further along? I have had light but regular periods for months I track them using the clue app. Thanks x

I'm so sorry this has happened to you. I've had a similar experience.
I was TTC and I got my period, carried on trying and got to ovulation, then 7dpo (about CD23) and and as you do, I started POAS for the fun of it. I got a faint line, so took a digital that said 1-2. Thought this can't be right! Went to EPAU. They scanned me and saw nothing, did bloods and then again 48 hours later. It didn't double. It just didn't work out and I cried my eyes out.

I started bleeding when I was due on but the cramping was definitely more! The bleeding was my usual 5/6 day bleed.

I'm so sorry about your experience in A&E. Its unforgiving. Flowers

P.S they told me to keep testing until it was negative and eventually it was.

browny1981 · 04/11/2020 16:47

I'm on CD 34 so I'm expecting it to be a bit heavier, i just feel so let down by the NHS this week I know there's covid but i was allowed in surgery to have bloods done so why could I not just see someone , anyone? I feel like I was ignored and it didn't matter, it mattered to me I needed support from them ! Well looking forward I think we know know we can make one so one day i might be back on here with a happy ending ! I'm changing doctors Monday though I wouldn't go back there paid ! Ty for all your replies and support you have no idea of the value of this site to me this week xxxxx

I am so sorry you haven't had the medical support you needed, there is no excuse for it, Covid or not.

I hope you get some clarity soon. I was going to say the same thing though, that this does indicate some hope for the future so I really hope you and your DH get good news soon.

Been thinking of you x

Hangingwithmygnomies · 04/11/2020 19:05

@browny1981 the treatment you have received is shocking! To say you couldn't possibly be pregnant when you bleed a month ago? With both my children I knew almost straight away and DS2 I'd had a period 3 weeks prior to a positive test (unfortunate short cycle!)

@zippityzip also not wanting to get hopes up but I thought I could see a faint line too - level with the middle of the pause sign on the left? And a very, very faint on the 2nd pic?

willieversleep · 04/11/2020 19:50

OP I see a faint line on that test as well as @britnay

2010rachel29 · 05/11/2020 01:08

Same as above is a faint line on test.

MaryTeenOfScots · 05/11/2020 01:15

I'm really sorry you're going through this OP 😞 Unfortunately this kind of dismissiveness of women seems to be all too common in medicine. I hope the blood results give you more clarity. My understanding is that ectopic pregnancies can cause lower levels of hCG than usual, so make sure you aren't fobbed off if you do have pain etc.

browny1981 · 05/11/2020 09:40

I think its over i stood up and the floodgates opened last night like a rush and now just normal bleeding there was tissue but i didn't look too much I feel like the pressure and pain has gone I feel lighter so at least its over and I have some closure to the whole situation ty for everyone's replies doctor was due to ring me today with hcg results so will see how that goes or if they do call !

So sorry to hear this, take care of yourselves now with some tlc

browny1981 · 05/11/2020 13:09

Well the doctors receptionist phoned ! She said your bloods are back no need to repeat referred to EPAU for a scan and midwife? I said oh well it's too late for that now after 2 weeks of hell I had to sleep on a bath towel last night! I'm so angry !

@browny1981 I'm so sorry to hear this. Do go to the appointment to make sure that you're physically ok. I do hope you're going to complain about your horrendous treatment.

AngelDelightUK · 05/11/2020 18:20

I’m so sorry, I was routing for happy baby news and to find out you were further along

Sending love xx

regularbutpanickingabit · 05/11/2020 18:34

Please do go for the scan and appointment. I had horrendous bleeding in several pregnancies and experienced both pregnancies that progressed and pregnancies that didn’t. It’s really important to just check if there is any retained tissue that needs surgical intervention, a complete miscarriage or a pregnancy that’s still viable. I’m so sorry you are going through this.

Nonamesavail · 05/11/2020 18:38

I'm so sorry you have had this treatment.

JamminDoughnuts · 05/11/2020 19:30

WitchDancer · 05/11/2020 19:46

I'm sorry for your loss, particularly after such shoddy treatment. 😔

Inkpaperstars · 05/11/2020 19:47

I am so sorry, you are justified in feeling so angry, it's appalling treatment.

I agree to go for the scan and appointment to be checked out though.

Usernamenumber999 · 05/11/2020 19:56

I'm so sorry for you and your DH @browny1981
Please make sure you get checked out and I hope things get a bit easier. I've been where you are and had terrible treatment by the hospital at the time but that was 20+ years ago and I'm appalled people can still be treated in such a way ☹️
Sending you hugs 💐
